My local club is starting a 1500 point campaign/league in January. I'm using 2 squads of Dire Avengers, 2 squads of Dark Reapers, 1 squad of Harlequins, 1 squad of jetbikes with Warlock and 1 squad of Swooping Hawks but not sure which would be better an Autarch or Avatar. We're not allowed to use named characters and have to do a Combat Patrol force out of the list as well.
Opposition forces will include Daemons, Necrons, Tyranids, Blood Angels, Imperial Guard and Chaos Marines.
Your thoughts would be appreciated...

Depends on what you want to do. If you're planning on holding stuff back and taking your enemy apart with reserves, then the Autarch. If you're planning on a slugging match, well, stabbing match where Eldar are concerned, the Avatar. From the look of your army most of it is planning on starting on the board, so I'd take the Avatar if I were you. I think its abilities and synergies better complement the rest of your army.

i would think avatar . its stats are very
nice for its low cost.

that and you need someone that can save the rest
of your army when enemy melee decides to jump your avengers and reapers.

I would have to agree with the previous 2. Take the Avatar:

1) Amazing stats and cheap points wise for the stats.
2) It will atract flack away from your less tough DA. there is also that fear factor.
3) Adds some Tank Busting ability if you can get in close enough.
4) because it looks so cool.
