I was on another forum when It was pointed out to me with the change in VAT and the current exchange rates people in Europe where getting some great deals by ordering from the UK.

So I did a little checking to see if there were any deals for us in the USA. Well See What I came up with.

Many of these you can get for the same price here from the US from Independent Stores who discount, but check out the first two. WOW!

Yes, but what about shipping? Surely it's an arm and a leg to ship that board internationally. Hell, they might not even be willing to do it.

But if you order from an independent UK retailer such as Maelstrom Games who knock 10% off all GW prices first, you're saving even more and they won't have any problems shipping overseas.

While I can't speak for shipping prices, many retailers offer free shipping over a certain order size anyway, so if you can put a big enough order in with a group of friends, shipping will be either free (or at the very least cheap when split amongst the people ordering).

There are many UK-based online discounters for GW stuff who typically offer between 10 and 25% depending on what's in stock and how popular it is. The discount should easily cover postage to the US, and then you have the exchange rate saving on top. If they are VAT registered and you mention before you place the order that you are from the US, then you might even get a further 15% on top if you are lucky, although you will be possibly be liable for US import duty at your end.

Do some googling and drop some emails... there's bargains to be had boys!

so, do any of the "discount" UK stores sell the Citadel Realm of Battle Gameboard and if so, what is shipping from those folks? I was under the impression the Gameboard was GW direct or GW store only..

That was more of a general weight vs shipping costs question, but the links are blocked from me at work.. but thanks for the obvious heads up.


after some linking... one company had 28 BPS for shipping, while another wanted to tack on 117 BPS (umm.. What??) yet another wouldn't ship outside the UK..

Interestingly enough the 28 pounds for shipping was also for the largest discount as well..
