Alright, so I've been fiddling around with the idea of making a necromunda gang, and have decided on scavvies.

Until I have the funds to buy a box of kroot and a box of IG (not sure which yet), my possibilities are limited. I have decided to make a Scaly.

For those who don't know, scalies are a stable sub-species in Hive Primus, who possess great strength and (as the name suggests) reptilian skin.

I decided on a mix of SM legs, Ork body and limbs, and various converted weapons. The head however, is proving a bit of a dilemma. I have plenty of Ork heads, and thought I could just use one and make it have scales using GS, as I will be doing the rest of the mini... But I don't want it to be obviously Ork. Which it is.

I was thinking maybe I could file down the ears... I am terrible at sculpting, so that's right out.


Still need to do the base GSing, have to prep first.

Hmm, try to get your hands on those old chaos warrior heads (those models which looked as if their heads grew out of their chests)

While I appreciate your evident enthusiasm shown by your use of exclamation points, I would prefer to convert this model. Think of it as an exercise in skill.

I'll look into it, but getting older bitz has proved to be a pain.

You could always try to get your hands on a more normal human head model (which shouldn't be so hard) and convert the whole neckpiece/etc for him out of the Ork torso

go with the ork head but re scupt the ears, like only add a bit of gs on the ears outr edges and make it look good
