Wow, that thing is really cool. I love it. I wouldn't be the one to try to paint it up, but in the right hands it could be a beautiful thing.

Thanks for checking out the blog. I'm glad you have enjoyed the history of it all. I have used this on and off for a very long time now.

Here is an updated WIP.

I actually finished it up today a few hours ago. I just need to get a new pic up here.

The Voldelig Lodge of Ulgu in all of its completed glory. I ended up bouncing back and forth a little with the silver weapons. I ended up with bronze and gold as well. Overall I am very happy with how they turned out.

Next I will be tackling a small Idoneth force of about 25 models. I am going to try my hand at painting the white pale skin like they do in all of the images. If you are not familiar with the models there are two groups within the Idoneth. The Namarti are the blind ones that are the bulk of the army. The leaders are more like your typical elves. I plan on painting their skin tones similar but not identical. I want them to still be from Ulgu so perhaps with a slight tint of some kind to it. Not sure which way I'll go but first I plan on just diving into the Namarti.

Models are on an ice board - of course they look cool...

Mind you, given how little they're wearing they should be ruddy cold!

Thanks guys. @Theophony, I agree. My wife is always laughing at me when she walks in on conversations about naked dwarves or mounted eels or whatever. She just shakes her head and keeps on walking.

@Gitsplitta, allow me to explain a little bit more for you. I apologize for the quality of this pics but I snapped them really quick so I could add them to this post. The Age of Sigmar faction known as the Idoneth Deepkin are a bunch of elves that were created by Teclis, an elven god. This was Teclis' first attempted at making his own race and he used broken souls that had been removed from the captured god Slaneesh. Long story short, it didn't work great. When the deepkin reproduce there is a high likelihood that they would be born without souls. The Deepkin without souls are still able to live but they do not have eyes and they aren't quite the same. That created a bit of a caste system. The Namarti are the foot soldiers without souls. They have the bows and cool close combat weapons. The Akhelians are the Idoneth that are riding eels and sharks.
Back to Teclis, when he figured out me messed up he tried to eliminate the entire race, but Teclis' brother Tyrian stayed his hand. The Deepkin then fled to the bottoms of the deepest oceans to hide away from Teclis just in case he changed his mind.

Today on my craft time stream, I am going to try and paint some of the Namarti, starting with their skin. We shall see how that turns out. Originally I was going to try a greyscale look on their skin but I think I am going to change my thought and give them a lot of grey and black clothing. I have found a different skin tone I want to shoot for that has a slight purplish tint.

Here is a WIP of my Namarti thralls. I have done the skin on most of them and I have started on the weapons. The one in front was my test model. I also went to work on some Gloomhaven models. I recently got back into playing through the campaign and I have really enjoyed it. The models aren't the same level as a real war game but they are decent enough. I painted a handful of my own models when my wife volunteered me to paint some for one of her friends. I now have 26 gloomhaven models on my painting desk. I finished up two on Sunday, but they were only simply objectives.

Nice of your wife to do that for you. I know how few models of your own you need to paint.

This is my completed Necromunda Assault Engine. We used it in our big campaign ending game. Everyone was fighting over space on the engine as it was lifted out of the collapsing section of the hive. It is a great piece to fight over and play around. Our next campaign will be here before I know it. Time to work on the next gang!

Mostly, on my phone.

That's an epic bit of kit and no mistake. Has a bit of a land train vibe, I expect to see squats all over it.
