Hey all......I have some daemons laying around and I would like to try them out. I have:

30 bloodletters
2 bloodcrushers
10 fleshhounds
greater daemon of khorne
greater daemon of tzeentch
greater daemon of slaanesh
15 horrors
3 flamers
1 prince/herald (belakor model)
1 prince w/ wings & iron hide
1 soul grinder

Please help me make the best 1500-1750 pt list out of what I have.

Hmmm you could go in a number of directions with what you have. I don’t think you have a full rounded list with what you have though.

Any of the GD’s can be good or built around. So none of those are a bad choice per say.

Letters are a solid support choice, if they see hth they will wreck shop most times, but they are pretty fragile so unless you’re going Kharn heavy running strictly letters as troops is rough.

Crushers might be one of the strongest things in the game period. Run the two you have but usually you need to run 4 or more to really see them shine

Flamers can be great and earn more than their points back time and time again.

Your horrors are a good choice I would split them into two squads so you aren’t just running letters.

The flesh hounds aren’t great and are only fluffy imho

So run the Grinder, Prince, 2 squad’s horrors, 3 flamers, 2 crushers, run your letters in at least 10 man squads. And try swapping in and out the GD’s.. After playing a handful of games you should see what you like and what you don’t and are able to decide what you need to pick up to round out an army. I would also highly suggest running some proxy Pb’s while you do this.

It’s not an actual list but I hope it helps and points you in the right direction.

You need some deamonettes of slaanesh... Thie are good against infarnery and farst units. Beacuse thie are fast and strike fast...

1740 right there...

You need Deamonetes for you army. Bloodletters cost to many points and are not so fast.
You need some deamoneters of slaanesh... That's wout make you army finish.

Disagree 100% about daemonettes. Totally unnecessary.

I will second the disagreement about the deamonettes.

With 5th edition rules about rending the deamonettes are over priced for what they can do and are fragile. They basically turned into a horde type of troop choice but are too pricey to be used as a horde.

I personally haven't seen them do anything thus far to make them a good choice over letters, pb's, or horrors.

Why? Theyve got enough attacks to get those rending hits in and are fast enough to kill alotta things first. To shooting they get wounded a bit easier but as demons they wont ever get vaped nor does it matter with 1w. 5++ will stand up to bolters and lascannons alike.

But in terms of killing things as a surety, those extra 2 points will be best spent on letters and to sitting there and taking it - Pb's win hands down. Although, alotta lil squads of flamers with that 4++ could also be an option for higher point games (fearless means they dont run away/keep running away when below 50% right?)

If you want points.. look at skulltaker instead of your bloodthirster. Chop!

whenever i use deamonettes against marines of any sort they usually are no good past the initial charge, and the 3 toughness and 4 ws means that the marines are hitting on 4+ and wounding on 3+, so basically if you dont take out 60% of the sqaud on the charge your gonna lose most or not all of that unit. i just happen to find BL alot more effective on the charge and plain cc than daemonettes(against sm or csm anywho).

now against an eldar player i love feilding the beasties(just wish i had the older models)

oh and feild skulltaker on juggernaught (if you havnt modded one up yet i may suggest sto do so) the extra wound makes him alot more godly against IC
