ok here is my first list for guard.
HQ. heroic senior officer, power weapon, bolt pistol, carapace armor, refractor field, psyker,force weapon, 1 vet, medic. 143 pts.
elites. storm troopers, 9 tropoers, 1 sergeant, 2 plasma, deep strike, 130x2
troops. 3 guard squads. squad1: grenade launcher, squad2-3: plasma, squad 3-4: carapace. 248 pts.
fast. sentinel squad: 3, armageddon patern(lascannons) , armoured crew compartment, 210 pts.
Hell hound:track guard, 125 pts.
Heavy support . heavy weapon platoon: 1 heavy bolter, 1 auto cannon, 1 mortar, 185 pts.
heavy weapon platoon: 2 lascannons, 1 rocket launcher. 175 pts.
leman russ: hull mounted heavy bolter, side sponson bolters, 155 pts
total: 1,501 pts.
so any comments or ideas are welcomed!

i would swap one or two storm trooper squads for perhaps een extra leman russ. and what do you mean with 3 guard squads for troops. 3 platoons or 1 platoon with 3 squads?
i actually don't think the deepstriking storm troopers fit in this list. what is your battle plan for them in this list??

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your Troops choice isn't legal.
Each platoon is (at minimum) 25 minis.
Command Platoon: 1 Junior Officer (or better) + 4 Guardsmen
A Platoon: 10 Guardsmen
B Platoon: 10 Guardsmen
And that's just one Troop choice. You need at least two. Each platoon requires its own command squad (it counts as part of the Troop choice, not as the Command Squad for the HQ slot, so if you had 2 platoons, you'd be fielding at least 3 Command Squads).
If you don't want 50 bog standard guardsmen, you can field an Armored Fist, which is a Chimera + 10 Guardsmen. That requires no additional Command Squad.
I would also avoid mixing special weapons in your Heavy Weapons choices, as you dilute their effectiveness. Go with 3 Autocannons and 3 Lascannons, imo.

oh sorry forgot to add they have the doctrines: droop troops,sharp shooters so the HQ, sentinals, and stoorm troopers will deep strike, and maby a squad of guard while the heavy weapon teams remain static and do their jobs, the russ will try and kill stuff and the hell hound will go for troops. and 1 platoon with 3 squads.

Don't mix weapons in your heavy weapon squads, don't take psykers or wargear on your HQ. For a heavy support heavy weapons platoon you need to have a command section, you might as well attach them to your HQ.
I don't understand what you are trying to say with your troop choice.

wow this army is very confusing!  ok so now i have to make a brand new list, and with the troop was 1 platoon with 3 squads. the new list will be up in a bit.

also you put squds 3-4 have carapace.....but if you reread your special equipment section of the codex, if you take the carapace doctrine you have to give it to every available model. (Its on page 57 of the codex, right hand side about half way up.)
so i think you got alot of work ahead of ya soldier!
