I'm looking for a solid WH force that can perform double duty as my fiance's army and ally for my IG when she's not using it.
I was thinking somthing simple, just sisters, saraphim, rhinos and an exorsist.

for a sister's Army the exorsist is a great option but you can not take it as support for gaurd. what you named there is pretty much the corp of every list, the real specialty units, like arcos, repentia, penitents, are cool but not really effective in most any situation.

Yeah, I was disappointed when I read the rule on allied HS, so they'll only join my IG in apoc. No biggie though. I'll get one, probably two, when the sisters are fielded on thier own.

So just scrap together a bunch of sisters, saraphim, and the nessicary VSS's for now? will that work?

Pretty much Sisters greatest strength is cheap power armor and mass Bolter fire, and the best way to get those is basic sisters. Serephim are a good multi role assault troop as well give two flamers, and the vet a exiscerator and they can be effective at both infintry and tanks. Don't forget to buy a couple of meltas for the sisters, the basic boxes only come with a flamer and stormbolter, which I normaly just add to the pile as a basic bolter sister.

Theres no special models for Celestians, so if you ever want those you just use sisters, and paint them special or something. another unit that i have always loved is a 4x heavy bolter retributer squad, again not able to be used as a gaurd ally but they work wonders for the sisters, you could take the H-bolters and use them as henchmen for an inquisitor if you ever want one of them, so you can feild an assassin.

So, basically, if I follow those points, I likely won't go wrong?

The models are expensive, but just run a bunch of bolter sisters in rhinos with Heavy flamers and Melta guns

The combo should fix the things you don't have. In IG you don't have Close combat... so you may want to run celestians+cannoness tooled for Close combat.
