I would drop the defiler and perhaps a rhino (leave that squad on your objective so they won't miss it too much) and pick up more Obliterators.

The Defiler will stand out and die too quickly. Oblits are more flexible and easier to keep alive, imo.

The Defiler can survive some incoming fire if he is kept behind the Rhinos as they will grant a cover save.

I'd give the Termies combi-flamers since horde armies are more a concern than MEQ forces.

I've thought about dropping one rhino but I've found that I can use an empty rhino to screen the others. It can also screen the Def.

Anything that dies to flamers usually dies to being assaulted. I've played a few people that run DP's and Wraithlords. The extra punch helps loosen these guys up.

The Def is really optional but I do like the fact that i can use the Whip and then drop a Str 8 Ap 3 template on everything.

I measured the height of my defiler vs the height of my rhino. There's no way a rhino will give a cover save, gotta model the defiler with its ass scraping the ground if you want a cover save.

I put the def into possitions where I get a cover. Ie climbing a building. Behind a rhino thats raised in cover. I could hovever trade him out for 2 more Oblitz. The good thing about the Def is possession. Even if I'm hit him always firing and moving.
