I don't think emperors champion counts as an HQ so i think you might need to get one

The BT erata on the GW site says that while he does not count as a force org selection he does count as your compulsory HQ, so there is no need. I had a captain in here before i read that but decided that those were points better spend elsewhere.

Are you intending to keep the LR and vindicator in reserve? Otherwise they will be the only thing on in the first few turns and will have all the attention your enemy can provide.

I'd rather have the rest of your force in Rhino's to pace the land raider, or maybe find the terminators a drop pod as well.

Actually, I'm thinking the vindicator doesn't fit in a drop army. Maybe replace it with a dread in a pod?

I do intend to start them in reserves during most games unless my enemy uses a mostly horde type army. in which case i'll slam them on the table and just deep strike the terminators.

I really dislike dreads, the vindicator on the other hand is an armor 13 target that tends to take even more fire then a LRC in my experience, thus drawing away shots from my LR taxi much like adding a second land raider for twice the points would. Coupled with the fact that a vindicator only needs to hit once or twice to make all of its points back its something that i love to run next to a Land raider.

1. Get special weapons, prefereably meltaguns, for your crusader squads. They are insanely points-efficient.

2. The razorback doesn't seem to fit in the list. A tank-hunting venerable dreadnought with TLLC and MSL instead of this squad would probably do better (and leave you some points towards those meltas), and a podding standard dread would probably fit the theme better.

3. Don't forget to buy Furious Charge for the Assault Termies. I5 with Lightning Claws is just sick. 8 is serious overkill, though, I'd stick to 4LC/2THSS.

4. Blessed Hull is fun, but I'd skip it unless there's a ton of pointy-ears in your local metagame.

5. Get smoke launchers for all your vehicles-- we still have to pay 3pts for it, but BT smoke is uber!

6. BT are better in HTH than standard marines (the vow and 2CCW), but you'll be stuck relying on your firepower a fair amount using the pods. I'd at leas consider going codex for a podding list.

You make some very convincing points and some recommendations i take to heart while others id rather ignore. I absolutely do not want any dreads in my army so instead i dropped 2 TH terminators like you recommended. instead I'm going to run two tactical squads in LRC's where the emperors champion can join one of those squads. Running 2 Land Raiders definatly works outhere, with all the large horde type armies people are currently running at tourneys two armor 14 targets are very nice. Plus I can assault right out of those so that problem is largely solved. I'm keeping one squad in a drop pod, just because some reinforcements are never a bad thing and a drop pod is the cheapest way to get close to the enemy. I took the smoke launchers like you suggested, your right the old BT rules for those are very nice. I'll have the terminators deep strike instead.
but heres the new list, tell me what you think

Looks strong.

1. Don't forget that you need to pay 3pts per model for Furious Charge. Definitely put the termies in an LRC, there's no other effective way of getting them into combat. The sooner they're stuck in, the sooner they start earning their points back

2. like I said before, all of your marine squads need a meltagun. It's 10 points per squad, but it's a big boost to your firepower and adds some versatility. Flamers aren't bad, either.

3. the lascannon squad really should have a plasmagun, not a melta-- that squad won't be moving much, so the extra range on the plasma is a big help. Try to use the razorback to shield this squad from enemy LOS when possible.

4. I'd add some neophytes to your crusader squads. One marine squad and the Champion should ride in the LRC your termies aren't using-- back that squad up with 4 neos to catch bullets. For footslogging squads, get them as big as possible, even if that means not maxing out on initiates.

Have fun!
