I've been playing 40k for 8 or so odd years now, and always SM or CSM. I have now dabbed into orks and was wondering which army is best? And what are their strengths and weaknesses? How are these lists comprised?

-Footsloggers (loads of boyz)

-Speed Freaks/Bikers

ok im new to the forums but here we go:
footslogers first
loads of boys so many boys that they cant all be shot down before they get there. the first 1-2 turns can be a depressing time removing models (thats why i got a shokk atack gun to make it more intresting) but as soon as your boys reach there will be havok. the board will become full of close combat fighting as your boys engulph the enemy and swamp them out so they have no-were to go. the main problem is keeping them alive as they cross the board. You will allmost certainly need a warboss with a powerklaw and maybe a big mek with a kustom force field (6" radius giving a 4+ cover save)

speed freaks: quick and i mean quick everything needs to be red. the main adavantage is you will reach them in turn 2 and hopefully what gets there will hammer the stuffing out of the defence whilst the boys from the trukks that got blown up arrive and join the fray. the engulph them tactic wont work as welll but will still sort of work. the main disadvantage is the fact that the mobz of boys will be small unless you buy a battle wagon (fill it to the brim with shooty things)

or you can try my way which is a mix of both i (hopefully) have 2 trukks and a battlewagon who aim to take out the main shooting units and the battlewagon is a mobile shooting force. with two huge mobs of boyz.

one tip BEWARE of the enemys counter attack this is were you could lose a game you have to be ready to destroy it

Speed Freaks Nob Bikers: Dead 'ard and completely crush anything except raider spam and possibly seer council bikes.

Goff Footsloggas: Everything save dedicated gunline drowns in the green tide. 3x Land Raider Redeemer would also pour on too many wounds to deal with, but those lists are rare.

Anything Orky is going to be pretty tough. It's honestly kind of difficult to make a bad Ork list as long as you're not dumping a lot of points into needless wargear.
