Well in the spirit of OPSEC I cant really tell you lol.. but I can give you a good hint.. theres only one FOB in Mosul and I was on the side that didnt have a PX....

I wish you luck while your over there, maybe you can get some people in your PLT into the game...

I was there for 15 months doing house raids and cordon and searchs... it was wild while I was there but I think its calmed down alot...

One last thing.. theres a place called tahuk.. not sure if I spelled that right.. if they ask you if you wanna go up there.. dont hesitate.. go.. trust me... everything else about that place Im sure the unit you relieve will tell you. or if you got any questions about it.. hit me up, I can send you pics and stuff lol

is the al asad airbase still kicking? i was there in 2004 running a class 1 with CSSB - 7.

i painted the EGA on the back wall of the PX on that base.

I was in there (well baghdad at least) in '04, and I can honestly say that is the one place I wouldn't want my models.

Play with cardboard cereal box cutouts and a codex. They're much more field expedient. JMHO.

FWIW, when I was in China (not for the service), that's what I did.

I was there (Baghdad) in '04 and in '06. Models survived just fine, albeit with a lot of dust. It can be done as long as you can score space in a milvan.
