Ok, I have run into a problem. In the IG codex it states that "all guard Infantry units" are required to take a transport. Is it strictly referring to where it says guard "Infantry" platoon or conscript "Infantry" platoon, or does it mean all "Infantry" units in accordance to the Big Gray Book?
Let me know if I'm really dumb or there actually happens to be some confusion.

I believe wether it is a capital "i" or not is important. If it refered only to Infantry Squads GW would say that.
Since it refers to "infantry units", it goes beyond Infantry Squad and covers all infantry units.

I think you can still take independent commissars and put the ogren in their chimera however. At least I think. There was a way to do it but I think I forgot the specifics.

you can buy the ogryn thier own chimera, but it is not nessicary. The commisar/officer/BONE 'ead is only to get them into one after the game starts, they can be deployed in one as it's assumed they were "convinced" before the battle to embark.
