hey dakka...

here's a couple of minis i just finished for the Project Rainy Day army...
this started as a way to raise money for the cancer treatment of one of the brushthralls, youngwolf7...
it was sold, and the buyer has been addin' to it ever since, commissionin' some of the top painters in the world...
i am honored to be included in an army that has minis painted by jennifer haley, marike reimer, and the mcveys...

these guys are painted to match the rest of the army...
the pallette has been shuffled around a bit to distiguish the two minis...
this is a cool scheme, and i look forward to tryin' it out on some other minis...

please to enjoy...

thanks for lookin...

cheers

I gotta say, I'm not a fan of the models but what you've done with them is pretty great. Winter camo, finally something sensible from Khador .

What did you use for the snow bases?

Very nice job on these. I really love these models, I love a lot of the Warmachine pieces honestly. I don't know why I have never gotten into the game. I think it's mainly that I haven't seen the game played before. Maybe someday in the near future.

I like your snow here, though it seems a bit 'fluffy', like fur more than snow. I go for a slightly different look myself.

Beautiful paint job - fantastic.

Out of interest, how long was spent on these two?

Cheers

Brilliant work. The contrast on the internal machinery is excellent.

@grey_death: this was my first time usin' the gw snow...
i'm not sure i like it, but i don't know how the alternatives work either...
it does look a little fluffy, but fits in with the kind of dry snow i saw a ton of livin' in fairbanks...
more experiments to come...

thanks for takin' the time to comment guys...

cheers

Love the blacklining effect on the bare metal areas? Is it blacklining or just a lot of shading?

Nice work,

Does the subject line containing the word "Warmachine" not clue you in a little bit?

To be fair, catapults and cannons are warmachines in Warhammer Fantasy.

But yeah, Warmachine. It's a different game.
