The object of this list is to try out get a feel for the rats. I wanted to try out the night runners for flanking aid/marchblockers, while maintaining a decent horde and some magic. Also, I needed to make a list that I had the models for. What do you think of this list so far?

That's good start; I'm soon to post a Skaven article, so I''l post the link when I do... Against some of the newer books' power units Skaven can melt away, but piles of bodies is still your best bet! Might I suggest breaking your Nightrunners down into 4x5, to maximise march-restriction and flankage? If there's anything you need, it's combat resolution. May your Ratling Gun rolls be fruitful!

That's a good idea. The more units the better!
I'm just trying the ratling guns right now. I've heard that they have a tendency to die too easily in the new edition. If I get rid of them I could beef up my clanrats/slaves and also maybe get another warlock.

I was drunk when I posted that. You obviously need another Clanrat unit to do that, so more like units of 7 / 7 / 6 nightrunners... sorry.
Keep the Ratling guns; there's not much else that pays off in the Skaven list. Everything good is a liability, hence that's the theme of the article I'm working on. Risk minimisation

I like a Warp-Lightning Cannon to kill Chariots and Heavy Cav. Gutter runners are always good against artillery. Rat Swarms are game winners due to their large amount of poisoned attacks and unbreakable.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.
