Having been playing Hordemachine for a while now (well Trolls mostly), I've now moved on to Menoth. Now, I'm in the middle of creating a pure examplar list with addedd Paladins (as at a 1000pts the Harbringer comes into play). Now baring a 1000pts and considering it's an exemplar list what units would you consider a no go. Obviously flame guard are a no go, but what else?

Well, I'd call it a Kreoss exemplar list, with Gravus in it!! Semantics!!

If you're planning on a 1k point list, the only ones I'd really call a no-go, especially
with the Harbinger, would be Flameguard Cleansers and maybe the Daughters. All
the other units have their place with either caster and it all boils down to
how many of each unit you're interested in fielding.

Flameguard work well with Rhoven, who is a big Exemplar unit/character. Cleansers would work well with Kreoss [though not as much with epic Kreoss].

Right, but I figured there was a fluff reason that Rhoven turned enemy models into flameguard converts.
