So I finally got my first fire warrior finished, thought you might like to see him. As always, let me know what you think!

Thanks,

Very nicely done, but I have 3 points of feedback:

1. I think the highlighting on the edges are a little thick. Thinner lines would have been much more subtle and effective. Likewise with the grey, a heavy drybrush instead of heavy lines would have worked better. A #2 flat brush would have been good for both of these steps.

2. While the job on the face is well done, I think the color is too close to that of the armor. Have the face a little lighter or a different color would have help it stand out a bit.

3. Similar to #2, the base is another continuation of the same color. I think that given the cooler colors of the figure, a lighter base (sand, desert, snow) would have helped frame the finished figure better.

They don't look quite as heavy in person, and I've been told this before, lol! Personally, I like my lines a little thicker, I always complain that I can barely see them if they aren't. I guess that's just a style thing.

The base wasn't my idea, this army is for Adepticon and the team wanted to use that color. I would have prefered normal grass basing, or at least codex gray instead of the shadow.
