How are these best used? I've seen them be the game-winning charge with the Testament, but I'm using Epic Kreoss and/or the Harbinger, and was wondering in what capacity they functioned best? Going after enemy warjacks or heavy warbeasts, perhaps? My main problem with the unit is that they have only 1 attack per model, meaning just a little bad luck and everything they do falls apart.

Should they charge off to do damage early? Hang around guarding my flank until later in the game to finish off things my front line has weakened? Should I try to get them shot since they're tough and it gives them bonuses? Gravus's no-knockdown ability doesn't extend to them, so I'm a bit concerned with someone using whatever they can to knock down my vengers and hamstring the unit.

Brother's Keeper DOES apply to Vengers. It affects all Exemplar models, and
not just Knights Exemplar.

They function at their best when they get the charge. For me, it's always
hard knowing how to draw the opponent into hitting them so that they gain
the all important pathfinder. Their threat range is wide enough that you
can essentially give them a dual threat role. With Rhupert around, they
can hit people out to 15".

If they do get charged or stuck in close combat, remember to use your
Ride-by Attack order to get them unstuck. Try to maneuver them into a
threatening posture to discourage the enemy from ignoring them.

Warjacks are only a good target on the charge. If you're stuck with
Ride-by attacks or regular sword attacks, then their target is to clean up
infantry.

They are easily hit. Even at ARM 16/18 (yes? I can't remember) an
exposed Knight is going to be hit. That means they have more to fear
from movement crippling effects than damage.

If Brothers' Keeper applies, why doesn't Epic Kreoss's Elite Cadre?/

They're an Exemplar unit, not an Exemplar Knight unit.
