Yes. That is the short answer.

You get a dreadnought, captain, 10 marines and 5 termies.

But you knew that. The models may be slightly less detailed than the multi-parts but when mixed in units they look fine.

Also you get an ork army Now that doesn't help your DA's but it does give you some trade bait for more marines or even to sell for a little bit.

If you only get $20-30 for the orks, thats still great as the box is only $50 to start with (from online stores).

yeah, about $300 of pieces in there. Or so the employee of my FLGS told me. So I say it might be a slight bargin.

of course its a good idea. they look really good when fully assembled. and like was said before, you cna sell off the orks(give them to me ) and use that money for more DA stuff. Shoot its worth that money just for the termie squad

Definately worth it. It's a nice way to buik out any army and if you don't already have them, the templates are nice too.

A friend of mine bought 12 of them just for the Orks, and got another 8 sets worth of Orks from trading off the Marines.

Look in the Swap area, I'm sure someone will trade for the Orks or will buy them.

Buy loads of boxes.
Models are great,
templates and dice are always useful,
you can put a rulebook in every toilet in the house,
your whippystix WILL break on someone,
It's a no brainer!!!!

500 Points of Orcs or Space Marines for only 60 USD is a Great Bargain.I Converted all the Space Marines to Nurgle and the Orcs...well....are being Orcs.
The Only thing is it Comes with no Extra Bits...

Put it this way, you get a sqaud of termies, 2 space marine CS, a captain, and a dreadnaught, thats a steal in my case

As has already been said, the basic troops are good value for bulking up armies and although they're only snap-fit models there's some conversion possibilities as well. Just look through the gallery, the guys on here have done some great things to these simple models.

Find a friend who needs orks and each buy one. then trade orks for marines and have 2 captains, 2 Dreads, 20 marines, and 10 termies all for $10 more than buying 5 termies normally.

Sell the Captains, templates, and rule book on ebay and make some money back.
