"We're disengaged!" came the voice over the com from the pilot. The entire drop ship shook from turbulence. The soldeirs contained within fingered their weapons, made their holy signs, and spoke prayers. Jarik Carlestien held his pulse rifle close. As an auxilliry to the Tau Empire he was honered to have this weapon. his people were allowed to move freely through the castes until they found their calling. He had always been the under dog, and now was his chance to prove everbody wrong. His father had said that his sister had been born lucky, and that he was lucky to be born. Tobe a hybrid was his curse. His mother was human, his father a Tau. He took after the human side of his family, five fingers, toes not hooves. he had been hated by the other tau in the settlement he had grown up in for his apperance. Hi eyes were red, he had ears, though they had practically fused to theside of his head. Feeling the sde of his helmet he grew angry. Why? Why did he have to hide himself when so many other auxilary soldiers neglected ot even wear Tau armor. But now was not the time to hate himself. He had been given a duty by the etherials and he would not fail them.

The Orca class dropship sailed through the sky, reaching it's destination. As the warriors stood and rushed out of the ship they were greeted by the defenders of the outpost.
"I am Sha'Ui Garios. I hear this is your first taste at combat, yes? Well enough chatter, we need you to lead the Blue Group convoy. We have veehicles suited to your... physical liking." Jarik tensed, knowing how the Tau wanted him to react to the insult. "i will have my men get into thier positions right away, Sha'Ui." As he walked towards the motor pool he understood what the officer had meant. Their stood several battered, but still entirely functional Demon Buggies. The four wheeled vehicle had been modified to work in the ice world environment of Daris. The chain gun on the back stood gleaming. "Alright! Everyone to the vehicles, I want to link up with the convoy in five!" yelled Jarik.

"Shas'Ui, we are recieving an incoming transmission from the recon out post. It is important that you hear this." Jarik nodded his affirmative and tunde his comm bead to the right frequancy.

"This is Recon Outpost 13! We are under attck from Enemy Stealth Forces! We require immediat, ARGH!"

"What in hell was that! Contact the settlement, request permission to investigate." As the comm operator did so Jarik wondered what the weapon was that had killed the one who had contacted them.

At Recon Outpost 13.

"Come on!" Firewarrior Kais ran to the ramp that led to the exit, with his friend among the earth caste Kles'tak. "Oh!" Kais turned around to see Kles'tak had fallen to the ground, a charred, smoking hole in the center of his back. Without wastinging a second Kais turned and sprinted towards the motor pool. As he reached it he vaulted into the cock pit of one of the Tetras. Powering it up Kais turned and flew towards the rear exit. Crossing the bridge that spanned the chasm seperating the out post from the route towards the settlement. Using the Tetra's advanced comm system kais Repeated his message. As he crested the top of the hill the Tetra was rocked by an explosion. Screaming kais was thrown from the skimmer. Moaning, kais crawled form the flaming wreckage. Fwoom. Kais heard the sound of a blade being powered on, and quickened his crawl, hoping futilley that he would reach safety. "AH..." Kais groaned as the blade punctered his spine. His last site was of the snowyhill, the snow underneath staining and melting as his blood poured out of the wound in his stomach.

After the settlement had authorized the Blues to investigate the disturbance at the outpost, the Demon Buggies rapily accelerated to reach the outpost before any survivors died. The Demon Buggies launched off of the top of a hill and powerslid to avoid the conoy of which they were supposed to escort. Cresting a hill, Jarik saw the wreck of the Tetra. As the demon Buggie stopped, Jarik climbed out and investigated as the other Demon Buggies set up a perimeter. Walking towards it Jarik saw a dark marron coloered lump in the snow. Stopping and kneeling to investigate Jarik found the body of a dead fire warrior. Suddenly streaking ovehead came a missle, striking Jarik's Demon Buggie.
The explosion threw Jarik back, and he blacked out.

Jarik awakened to find his men fighting a desperate battle. Many of the Demon Buggies lay on their sides, little more than burnt out shells of what they once were. Unslinging his pulse rifle Jarik opened fire into a hulking figure that was charging suicidely at them. The warrior dropped, dead. Grabbing the nearest soldier Jarik questioned him. "What happened! Where is our support! We should have Battle suits here!" the warrior screamed. "The Demon Buggies were their first target. Thesettlement hasn't authorized any support for us yet." Jarik began to speak into his comm before he realized that his helmet had fallen off during the explosion. Instead he screamed loud enough to the remaing soldiers. "Retreat up the hill! Once you et to the convoy route conact command and get us some damned support. !" The warriors rushed to do as he said. Calmly walking to one of the more intact Demon Buggies, he pulled himself into the gunner's chair. Grabbing the Chain gun he triggered it, the barrels spinning, death being dealt from it's six barreled mouth. The shells it fired chewed into the enemies position, kicking up great clouds of snow and dirt. Slowly and steadily working the gun from side to side, the enemy fell in great groups. Hearing, rather than seeing the missle, Jarik Jumped out, and rushed towards the hill. The explosion from the Demon Buggie sent him sprawling forward.
He let the darkness overcome him, and no longer felt the cold snow, the biting wind whiping at him. He went numb, and closed his eyes.

I don't understand who the enemy is, but i like the concept of having an out of sorts character, one which, I think, will resonate with readers.

Shas'La G'redas Broadblade looked around at the remains of the squads. Almost all of them weredead, and those that were alive were severly ingured. he could see that they were lucky that the Shas'Ui hadn't been dead, and now he would help lead them out of this cluster bomb. They had reached the convoy route, though all the vehicleshad long since passed out of sight. "Shas'Ui, what is it you wish us to do..." As he said this he realised that the Shas'Ui was not with them! "Where is the Shas'Ui?" he questioned. No one seemed to know. "Alright, every one get into Raisax Gamma pattern, and double time it to the settlement." As they followed his orders, the weapons with the longest range placed in back, and the warrior wielding the pulse carbine on point. he hated to leave the Shas'Ui behind, but if they returned they would find nothing more than their enemies redoubling their efforts.

The warrior picked his way through the wreckage. he saw a few lumps form the dead bodies of the enemy, but he didn't care about those. The one on the hill was what he wanted. As he gazed down on the broken and bloodied body, he kicked the ribs with his right foot. Reaching down, the warrior turned the body over, and saw a human face. He took out his pulse pistol, preparing to ensure it's death. Suddenly the hand shot up,driving into his knee. Before he could so much as scream, the snow covered body grabbed his neck and slammed his head as hard as he could into his helmet. The warrior saw his vision graying, and gave into it, knowing it would spare him the painful death.

Waking up the warrior saw the now living corpse standing in front of a large fire. he could see some shape in it, and knew that it was one of the vehicles. The figure turned, and saw that the Shas'Ui was awake. he knelt before him, and spoke. "Mind explaining why a group of fire warriors attacked a convoy of friendly troops?" The Shas'Uis' eyes were drawn to the face of the human. He realised it, and spoke. "This is the face of one who has always fought for every little thing in this life.my father....was a warrior who loved a human woman. They had two children. A girl and a boy. The father preferred the girl, because she was almost entirely tau, accept for five little fingers. The boy... he was regardedby all on his home sept as being a parody of both the Tau and Human. I... fough my father before I left my sept. I was beaten to within an inch of my life. He burnt my body since I was young, which only caused people to hate me more. And when we fought he used a bonding knife, that he had heated up, and he scarred me one last time. And this is what happended." The human pulled back the synth-skin covering his face, and he saw the that the area around the eye had been burnt to a crisp, though the eye was completely unharmed. "And now you are going to feel my wrath." The human walked to a pile of junk, which he saw was a pile of bodies. Tau bodies. Hepulled a knife fom one, and he set it into the fire. After a fewminutes he took the blade out and walked towards the tau. Hegently held it, and pressed it into the right knee, and he screamed.

As Jarik stood he tossed the knife into the snow, cooling it. The body of the turtored Shas'Ui lay behind him. He walked into the out post and got into one of the Tetras, starting it up. He stopped to pickup the body of theTau, so he could be healed at the settlement. As the Tetra roared across theskyline, heknew that this could severly hamper his mission, butknew that it was necsesary. He knew which one of the Tau at the settlement was a traitor, and he would ensure that he paid dearly for this.

Tau are the best!
Keep Writing about Tau!
WHOOOO TAU!!!
but seriously this is really good.

to understand how many orks it takes to screw in a lightbulb you must calculate the surface area of a standeard sized urinal, multiply that by 3 bajillion, calculate that in svedish half-pennies and convert that amount to japanese yen. or you could ask a Tau to screw in the bulb.

Shas'la with Pulse Carbine

Standing right behind you...

Better than the previous one but still a bit complicated.
The ebb and flow of this story was out of place with certain parts being painfully slow and full of detail in important parts e.g: "As they followed his orders, the weapons with the longest range placed in back, and the warrior wielding the pulse carbine on point."
That block of writing was unnecessary.

Under the Himalaiyan mountains

I like this. You should stick with Tau.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.
