All was not well in Paragon City. Scholar Wu, student of the blades and toughened against
the elements by the force of her own will, applied for her Super-Hero registration.



"State your powers," the registrar said.

"None."

"But how will you...?"

"Allow me to demonstrate."

Outside, yet another gang was harassing the populace. Since the arrival of the Super Villains, the
streets had became thick with the displaced and the dispossessed.



Scholar Wu patiently approached three Skulls, accepted their attacks as if pain was an
unworthy response, and took them down.

"Very nice," the registrar said, "Father Time could use a blade like yours. You'll find him in Pocket D."

And so she went.



"Baby New Year has been kidnapped by Snaptooth," he told her, "Someone must cut
through his guardians in order to locate his location."

Scholar Wu set to work.





When the last of the Frost warriors had fallen, the caverns location became clear. Scholar Wu
went to rescue the New Year.

After facing the smallest of warriors, Scholar Wu was taken aback by Snaptooth. Though
guarded by Redcaps, they were but a small distraction to the Scholar's path. In the end,
however, Snaptooth fell.



"Thank you, Scholar Wu!" Baby New Year said, "2009 can now begin!"

"You did nothing in that fight," she said. She glared.

Her steady eyes sweated the New Year. "Perhaps... we should be going?"

"Hrm."



Scholar Wu held her swords, and stayed her hands.

On the way out, it seemed her swords cut even harder than before, though the Baby
New Year was certain that was his imagination.

Good story a little bit more detail is needed IMHO but all in all pretty good. On another topic what server do you play I play champion.

Bah. I just like taking screenshots and stabbing things with the sword.

You say that, but of my characters two are male, most are female. I just prefer female toons but aye getting back to the point, the number of buffs, assists etc I get when playing a female toon are easily 10-1 if not more than I do as a guy toon.

Maybe its because folks like the girl toons, maybe its because theres a lonely guy hoping behind the keyboard, who knows, but this is far too common to be random chance. My wife notices it as well when she plays her male Hunter, although I think she is considering doing a sex change as he was meant to be her bank alt, but somehow ended up a lvl 63 and counting.

Regardless the best example for me was at Booty Bay a while back when I had two alts in the Inn, running each to the mail box to check mail. The Girl got a buff from a Priest, the male nothing, although he hadn't moved and was still talking to his companion as I ran past. I remember it as my wife and I where laughing over the fact he obviously liked the Draenei's butt, the Human Paladins not so much.

Oh and I like the blog btw, its reminding me that CoV/H was quite a bit of fun.

Scholar Wu was called to the Hollows to meet her contacts. Trolls and other gangs
had taken over the area after the Troll bombs had "Hollowed" the ritzy area out.

Even with the high population of super powered beings in Paragon City, reconstruction
was hindered and even reversed in certain areas. Scholar Wu mentally prepared notes
on how a clearing of the Hollows might lead to economic regrowth of the City.



Her first contact was the civilian Meg Mason. There was no better word for her than
civilian. The cops and federal agents that surrounded her were deferential to her
in a way that they wouldn't have offered any other private contractor. She was
less mercenary and more of a patriotic entrepreneur.



They got off on the wrong foot.

"Nice feet," Meg said to Scholar Wu, referring to her foot wrappings, "Bet it hurt
like bloody hell trying to get here over all the broken glass."

"Probably not as much as it hurts your pocketbook to replace those Manolo Blahniks."

Good continuation, what level is your character? If your character is partly high i.e 15-30 go and kill some big stuff like rikti, lost (TV headed) and zombies. Theya re rally fun and It seems interesting to see how your charcter fares against a hundred or so waves of monsters

Only 13 I think. I solo and didn't get any AE attacks.

I am now inspired to play.

What server are you on?

I find it kind of funny how many City of Heroes threads are popping up recently. In a way, it's pretty cool. The game deserves more credit than it usually gets.

I believe the sudden boom about city of heroes is because of me since I started to ask about it
