I am really new to this game system but love it...I play, or will play, CIrcle (Have the figs for a 1k army, just need to build and paint). But as I look at the Menoth and Cignar Warjacks....they seem to look exactly alike, to include the maltese looking crosses...are they related or the same?

Cygnar and The Protectorate used to be "one nation, under [Menoth], indivisible, with liberty and justice for all..."

However, with the rise of new gods, there was a religious civil war that devided the country. The Menites (Followers of Menoth) wished to cleanse Cygnar of the followers of the "heretical Morrowans". Their leader was killed and the Menites signed a peace treaty granting them land in which to live. The treaty said Menoth was to be disarmed (think Germany after WWI). When Cygnar wasn't looking, though, the Protectorate rebuilt its army. Their jacks were disguised as Labor Jacks to keep Cygnar from confiscating them. Eventually, the Menites took up arms once more. This time attempting to take over ALL human lands in the name of Menoth. Untill recently, The Protectorate was considered a province of Cygnar (as per the peace treaty) but they've since split apart to form their own Autonomous state.

Hope that helps explain a bit... If not, just ask.

Very interesting...thanks. Good to know some of the lore. I only have the Two Hordes books now. One day I will make a WM army once I finish my Circle.

Maybe someday we'll turn Cygnar into the Protectorate of Morrow.
