Didn't see anyone talking about this here, so I figured I'd mention this. The news has me stoked as I've pretty much played Fallout 3 to death at this point. All I really have left to do is the neutral achievement, and I may just use the XP bug to do that.
January 2009 - Operation Anchorage
For 800 Microsoft Points you will be able to enter a combat sim of the US's taking back Anchorage from the Red China invasion! Side quest similar to Knights of the 9 in Oblivion.
February 2009 - The Pitt
Allows you to journey to the ruins of Pittsburg (perhaps via a transport ala Shiverring Isles?) and either enslave or save the people there.
March 2009 - Broken Steel
Allows you to join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and CONTINUE PAST LEVEL 20 at the end of the game.
No cost announcements for the second two yet... but the last one has me stoked. This game has me hooked as bad as Oblivion did (despite the removal of all the adult stuff). The only downside is that Bethesda has cut a deal with Microsoft to make these expansions 360 and PC exclusive (sorry PS3 owners!).

That's fine. It's not like I'm actually playing it anyway.

I have a PS3 (the one, shining 80 gig that I bought because it was backwards compatible with prior games... thank god ) and honestly, I'll never get a game for it again where online content is an issue. The PSN is slow as hell, and peer to peer downloading makes even just updating system software a pain in the butt.
Now that being said, I will play any game that's super PRETTY on it. Dead Space was a great investment for that platform, as was UT 3.
But before this turns into 360vsPS3... you should definately get Fallout 3 if you haven't already. It's game of the year for 2008 IMO (second to the Orange Box).

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth
Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags. |

Awesome. I basically bought an X-Box 360 so I could play Fallout 3 (and wait for Champions Online), so this is incredible news that I wasn't even expecting.
I wonder how they're going to work the "going past level 20" with that main story arc? I mean...it is pretty final, and everything.
And what do you mean, removal of all the adult stuff? Exploding body parts, sleeping with hookers, children that curse like a sailor...that's not adult enough for you?

When do you get to sleep with hookers?
I guess you can sell them into slavery... but that's about it.

Moriarty's bar in Megaton. It certainly is as far from explicit as it can be, but you most certainly rent the room and it comes with the girl.
