Ok, I have a few questions about skyleaping swooping hawks. (or mabe i just need clarification)

They can only skyleap during their movement phase and have to be able to volentarily move - correct?

Here are some situations my friend has said they can - i dont know the rules and he didn't bring his dex that day.

1) In CC - if they had hit and run perhaps, but i dont think they do so no.
2) Pinned - cant volentarily move so I would think no.
3) Falling Back - probably no my instincts tell me.

Am i right with my assumptions?

DukeRustfield - There's nothing wrong with beer and pretzels. I'm pretty sure they are the most important members of the food group.

1) They can leave CC because the Skyleap rule says they can.

2) You are correct, when pinned (gone to ground) they can take no voluntary action.

3) The Eldar FAQ specifies that they cannot Skyleap when falling back.

Thanks Yakface.

However since they never have been assulted in our games if they leave during the movement phase after a "pile in" does the opponend get a d6 consolidation?

Nope, but they get to make "a 3" consolidation move". It's a 4ed remnant.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"...
