After buying the Prime Remix rulebook, I'm taken with the Khador history. It is, quite frankly, Amazing. And the models are great too. Can someone please help me write/provide a 500 point list? I'd like it to be quite varied; I love all the Khador models. However 'Jacks are the best models i've seen so....I was thinking a 'Jack heavy list? Does a central 'jack group backed up by Winter guard and Man O' War/Iron Pikmen work?

Any help would be well recieved.

many Thanks,

Aedh11

Iron Fang Pikemen are a very solid unit, especially with the Unit Attachment (Officer and Standard Bearer).

Winter Guard look OK, but I very rarely see them used locally. Winter Guard Mortar Crews on the other hand I see all the time.

Man-O-War are OK, but Man-O-War Demolition Corps are much better I think.

Khador armies generally don't use more than one jack unless you're running a jack buddy caster or have a specific strategy that hinges on your jacks. Right off the bat, I'm going to suggest not using Zerkova, The Butcher, or Irusk. None of them handle multiple jacks well.

Other than that, it really depends on who you want to use. Sorscha has a list that uses 2 jack marshalled Kodiaks and one that uses 3 Destroyers (The latter is an old configuration from Prime only days. I'd dial it back to 2 because lists are much different nowadays.).

Vlad's feat doubles the SPD of his warjacks for one turn; I'd probably go with Drago and a Devastator to run interference.

Karchev is Khador's premiere jack buddy. Just take 2-3 of any of Khador's melee jacks, although Beast-09 and Drago/Berserkers really fit him well.

Old Witch comes with Khador's only light warjack (Scrapjack) and an ability that really helps ranged jacks, so take a Destroyer or the Behemoth at least. If you want a second heavy, Scrapjack and a Kodiak have some decent synergy.

But really, these are just guidelines. If you want to take The Butcher and three jacks, I'm not going to stop you. Tell us which models you like, and we'll help you build a list.

I would avoid Winterguard. I bought them, tried them, and then sold them for a loss.

I hated using them that much.

If you want Man-o-War, use Demo Corps. The regular MoW really only work well with one Caster (IMO) and that's Epic Irusk.

However, I can appreciate wanting to run multiple jacks, even at 500 Points. Khador Jacks are awesome looking, even if a lot of them aren't all that great.

pVlad is a fantastic starting caster (though after a while he gets boring because he makes things a little too easy), and if you like Jacks, you'll love him and his feat plus signs and portents. The following list is a bit small, but there aren't too many model purchases:

Prime Vlad
-> Beast-09
-> Drago

8 Iron Fang Pikemen + Unit Attachment
Winter Guard Mortar Crew
Widowmakers

497 Points.

Alternatively, if you didn't want to shell out for Drago, I'd say get a Koldun Lord to Jack Marshall a Berzerker (the 'Zerker will still benefit from Vlads feat and signs & portents). This may be worthwhile since I would never field Drago except with Vlad, and Drago can't be Jack Marshaled like a regular Berzerker.

Oh - one last final piece of advice: Beast-09 is the best Khador Jack. Almost without question. Like seriously. Every time you think about taking a Jack whose purpose is to get into Melee combat, you should take Beast-09.
