Subject: Dual Lash Tactica?

Hey, I'm trying to make some proxy armies to pit my WIP Space Marines against, and I hear a LOT about Nob Bikers and Dual Lash CSM. The Nob Bikers are pretty self explanatory, but I've never bothered looking at CSM. Is there any kinda tactica going over how to play Dual Lash that someone can point me to? It'd be nice to proxy the army in an actual competitive way, not just fudging it by knowing "lash + oblits" I get the general concept there, lash them all together, and use the oblits to template them to death, but I want to get a bit more detailed knowledge.

Nah, that's really all there is to it.
Each of the lashers is either lashing a unit closer so that it can be assaulted, lashing it further away so that it won't be able to assault, lashing it out of cover and into a clump for ease of pie-plating, or some combination of those.

Alright. I would assume that it would be a good idea to use a daemon prince to lash closer, what with his rediculous assault prowess.
Would it be... uh... unwholesome to mix slaneesh and khorne units in the same army? Because I would definitely like to see the mess that would be daemon prince and a good unit of khorne berserkers using lash to get some furious charge.

Taste the rainbow that is Chaos Skittles. If you're going dual-lash, people will dislike you for that reason, rather than the old fluff involving which gods play nicely with which other gods.
Frankly, Berserkers would be a nice change. Most dual-lash lists are include Noise Marines (shooty) or Plague Marines (really hard to kill).

So for a 1000 point army, would dual lash just be too much cheese, or even worse, so much cheese it doesn't actually work successfully in such few games. I was thinking daemon prince with a unit of khorner berserkers, some oblits, and maybe a sorceror on a bike, with a few bikers to back him up. I'm not sure the points value, so that may actually run me way too high, but that would be nice.

For a 1,000 point game dual Lash Princes with 4 Oblits and basic Marines in rhinos with melta weaponry and Mark of Khorne would probably do fine.

Alright, I guess I'll hold off the berserkers idea for larger armies. Four oblits, two princes. The princes go around squadless? That seems fine since they have rediculous wounds for their price, but it makes me worried a bit that they'll get shot to hell. But yeah, I'll write up a draft of that and see how I like it.

Most armies at 1000pts dont have nearly enough heavy weaponry to shoot down 2 princes. I went to a 1000pt tournament a couple of months back and took one prince. It only lost 4 wounds the entire day (on the last game where it was suicide firedragoned to death).
You do need to give them wings though. The extra mobility you gain is far too important. Not only does it let you get inot combat faster, it also lets you lash exactly what you want to (24" isnt far you may find yourself out ranged) and run away from things you dont want to be in combat with.
Wings cost 20pts a piece but are well worth it. Drop the extra bolters off the rhinos and 2 marines.
The list is a little troops light for my tastes but you should do ok.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

You might consider giving your CSM units the Mark of Chaos Glory instead. You don't want them running away when they should be holding an objective.
This would also free up points for a couple of special weapons (flamers or melta).
