Looking for some ideas here. The current Eldar jetbikes are a bit dated, and I find I dislike the "chopper" style of riding them. I'd like to a) convert a bunch to a more "crotch rocket" riding position, and b) replace the drivers completely.

A) shouldn't be so hard - have to cut the seat off completely and reshape it, remount/replace the handlebars, and reposition/replace the footrests/pedals.

B) I'd like some suggestions for. Any GW models that would make a good starting place for "hunched over" Eldar bikers? Warlocks? Autarchs? Farseers?

Aren't the DE bikers hunched? It's been so long since I've seen anyone play them...

They are, somewhat. They're also rather unattractive. Good thought, though.

Yup, pretty much that. Pity Jes never got the green light to put it into production.

Maybe the space elvez will get a Wave 2 release someday.

That's some lovely green stuff work. (Still too upright! The darn bike is aerodynamic enough for flight; sitting up like that not only risks your spine, it also gets bugs on your pointy hat.)

I always figured they were used to mark squads. Kind of like the flags that samurai wore on there backs.

I think it was in the last eldar codex that called them sensor vanes... I could be wrong though.

That bike is much sexier than the current ones; here's wishing Jes is able to get it through a second time (along with Warp Spiders, my least fav. of the current models).

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Because they are 700 years old. Talk about a unit that should be redone...

I wish they'd do all the aspect warriors over in plastic.

As an Eldar junkie, so do I, but most of the aspects have at least been resculpted - even if in metal. Spiders and bikes, as well as Shining Spears, haven't had a resculpt since 2nd ed. There's a lot of models in other armies that are in the same boat, unfortunately.

The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

Being the ultimate authority on everything (and modest too), I hereby present my judgement on all Aspect Warrior models -

Fire Dragons - The latest are the best
Striking Scorpions - All versions look ugly, but recent is best, and they are good, so needed.
Howling Banshees - The originals, with laspistols, are best. The latest are totally fugly. The middle ones were just about okay. I had some old ones and bought a bunch more off EBay now I started playing again.
Dire Avengers - The latest placcy ones are the best.
Swooping Hawks - I like all versions.
Warp Spiders - I think they look awesome. Love the model.
Shining Spears - No opinion. Tey are complete cyphers to me.
Dark Reapers - The original pointy-heads are not only the best, but are also totally iconic.

There, you all now know what opinion to have.

Oh, and old-school harlequins are at least 30 million times better than the new ones.
