Ok, so I've never played Orks and I already posted my armylist here but got little response but i've changed the list quite alot now. So here it goes;

What do you think? Would it stand up for itself in a tournament environment?

I've never done a Tourney before, but I'd get rid of Thraka as he's going to slow down an entire unit making them slow and purposeful. If you're going to do that many boyz on foot, then a mek with a KFF would be good. Might be able to cover 2-3 units worth of boys for cover saves since our armor saves are crap. A warboss with a PK as well would be good, like the one from AoBR. Those 2 HQ choices alone would be a little less points than Thraka.

Replace the big shootas with rokkit boys cause if you run into any kind of mech heavy army you'll need them to help the lootas. I'd just go with one unit of lootas myself and maybe replace with a squad of 3 kans with kustom mega blastas.

You need bosspoles in every squad. Ghaz is okay. I'd rather have 2 Big Meks w/ KFF and power klaws though.

Just an idea. You could take double KFF for cover saves on the front but you'd only have 4 PKs.

The only reasons I have Thraka there is because 1) I bought the model for around £18 so wanted to get some use from him and 2) Some Ork GT winners have him, or maybe its just a warboss in mega armour, and I'd most likely not put him in a squad, rather, behind it.

Think I may replace Thraka with Mega armoured warboss and get a big mek with KFF.

I might just get 2 Big Meks with KFF as my army is a Mek themed Death Skullz Loota army anyway.

And orky1, I have saw, and I'm sure a lot of Ork players will agree with this, that rokkits are just a waste because of the low BS and the amount of Deffgun shots I have, 30 Lootas with D3 shots is probably enough and if not I'll assault with the PKs.

While low bs means fairly few hits it is a good idea to have some rokkits. Lootas can't even glance anything with ar14 to slow it down. I find that despite the misses it does pay to have some rokkits.

25 is such a weird number for boys.

20 or 30 is the right way to go. Even if it meant that some of your units were 20 and some were 30.

I'd advise bosspoles like the rest have said.

And ghaz is a little out of place. Switch him to mad doc grotsnik and put him with the ard boys. Then use the ard boys to screen the shoota boys. Take the shootas off of the ard boys. You'll be running.

drop the mek for more lootas. Try to max out those units.

thats a lot of boys. Its definitely more troops than I'd run, but I think you are going for 'wall of green' and this will accomplish just that

Agreed, Ghaz is out of place. Ghaz needs to be in a transport and with friends that hit hard too. Run a regular warboss, get snikrot and some commando's instead. Keep the rest of the list.

Thanks for all the responses. The Idea of the army is meant to be all on move and run, shoot assault weapons then assault, hence all the infantry killing stuff (big shootas instead of rokkits). 'cause of the speed of the assault the aim is to get the nobz with PKs assaulting any av14 vehicles, usually makes short work of them and the expensive av14 vehicles usually don't have too many weapons to kill too much of the horde anyway. afew Orky GT winners i've seen have had this basic layout but no nobs at all and ghazghkull (or maybe just a mega armoured warboss), that's why I made this list, to replicate the GT winning ones, maybe there's afew tricks we're overlooking? =/
