Hi guys n gals.

At the Vangaurd, Bristol, /UK we are thinking of running 40k campaign to give a little meaning to our pick up games. We are not looking at running a super serious and competitive one; more one that's a bit of fun and gives some fluff.

Has anyone tried this before? Any resources/sites that have info/links on them I could use? Any advice on what I should be doing to start it off? I want to create something new but have never ran anything like this before so could do with some advice.

It needs to be fairly free-form so people that cannot make it each and every week can still play.

Would like to range from small 500 point skirmishes to big, multi-player apoc battles for the "big games"

Try the official GW website, they occasionally publish nice campaign/warband resources.
But they also love to restructure their website which leads to stuff disappearing from the official place, like the Vogen campaign:
