The Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II multiplayer Beta will be hosted via Steam.

Soulstorm owners will get exclusive access on January 21st!

If you don't have Soulstorm, you will be able to get access on Jan 28th once the beta has been opened up worldwide.

All four races will be available to try, along with five multiplayer maps, and Games For Windows LIVE TrueSkill Matchmaking.

When "the beta opens up world wide" is it a limited lottery for the number of people who can get it, or is it completely open?

I hate those ticket lotteries almost as much as region-based betas.
