I won the role to go first and let the eldar player take it. He reserves his entire army.
Dark Eldar Turn #1:
A tumbleweed roles across the table

.
Daemons Turn #1
Chosen wave was 4 horrors, 2 heralds. I role a 3 and get the half I want. I spread the 4 squads across the middle of the table so no matter where he comes in something can shoot him. Each squad of 2 horrors is backed up by a chariot placed towards the center.
KP: Daemons: 0, Dark Eldar 0
Dark Eldar Turn #2:
Fate is indeed fickle, he gets in 1 ravager, his archon, and 2 warrior squads. He starts to castle in the northwest corner. Both warrior squads come in near the same area but have poor fleet roles and don't make it into cover. His Archon hides behind some terrain. The ravager comes on in the very corner, moves up and takes a long range pot shot and puts a wound on a herald.
KP: Daemons: 0, Dark Eldar 0
Daemons Turn #2
Reserves that come in: All 3 flamers, none of the daemon princes, and the other herald. I try to deep strike one group in to flame the ravager, they deviate out of range backwards. The second squad I place in the middle and deep strike behind some terrain out of cover. The 3rd squad suicide drops in next to the 2 squads of warriors. The flamers actually scatter over the other squad about 2 inches from the table edge, and then proceed to kill all but 2 from the first warriors squad. I deep strike in another herald about 18 inches away from the ravager. My 2 heralds split fire on the small warriors squad and the ravager, the ravager is shaken and the last 2 squad members are killed. The other chariot boosts to get towards the action. 2 Horror squads move up and shoot at the other warrior squad, killing all of them. The other 2 squads proceed to run towards where all the action is going to be.
KP: Daemons: 2, Dark Eldar 0
Dark Eldar Turn #3
His reserves: 1 ravager, 2 witches, 1 warrior squad. He deep strikes in the ravager (screaming jets), his ravager and both raiders open up on one of my heralds I fail 4 straight 4 plus invulnerables and the herald dies. Wychtes disembark and assault and kill the flamers that had tried to threaten the ravager. The other squad of wyches assault my flamers that killed the warriors. His new warriors make it into cover.
KP: Daemons: 2, Dark Eldar 3
Daemones Turn #3
My Reserves: All 3 daemon princes come available. I do some risky deep striking and drop 2 of them right next to the wyches near my opponents table edge. The other one tries to drop near a ravager and deviates towards my opponents table edge. The two daemon princes flamer the wyches and their raider and the attatched archon. The squad is wiped out but the raider and archon are fine. One herald is still out of range of the ravagers so it takes some potshots at warriors. My other herald misses with all of his shots, the 3rd daemon prince stuns one of the ravagers with a daemonic gaze attack. The horrors unload into the othe wych squad and kill it. The other 3 packs continue their run across the table.
KP: Daemons: 4, Dark Eldar 3
Dark Eldar Turn #4
His Reserves: He gets in ther rest of his army 2 squads of warriors, reavers, and warp beasts. He shoots a lot at both daemon princes but only manages to put one wound each. Not to worry tho, the archon charges in deals 3 wounds and i fail 3 saves to lose a
dp. His mobile ravager shoots some horrors. He assaults a unit of dark eldar warriors into the other
dp but they fail to cause any damage, lose the combat by 3 and then proceed to fail their morale check and run off the table. his warp beasts charge my flamers in the middle and kill all of them
KP: Daemons: 5, Dark Eldar 5
Daemons Turn #4
My 2 heralds blow up one of the ravagers and shake the other. The surviving daemon prince moves in and flames a unit of warriors, and with some additional shots from horrors wipes out the unit. The horrors kill the warp beasts and the jetbikes. The other daemon prince shoots and blows up one of the raiders.
KP: Daemons: 10, Dark Eldar 5
Dark Eldar Turn #5
The archon and warriors assault the wounded daemon prince. The archo fails to wound, the
dp kills 4 warriors the archon and warriors fail their leadership check and run off the table.
KP: Daemons: 12, Dark Eldar 5
Daemons Turn #5
The heralds shoot down the ravager and last raider.
KP: Daemons: 14, Dark Eldar 5
A lot of people seem to like doing the all reserves things against Daemons. I've found it rarely works out well for them, especially if (like my opponent) they get some bad reserves roles. I think he would have done much better if he had started 2 units in cover and then moved everything on the table on turn 1 and grabbed all the available cover possible. However, he honestly just didn't have enough shots to take out my daemons. I think his small squad sizes really hurt him here. And in his case I probably would have not assaulted flamers with wyches, if he had assaulted into the horrors he might not have killed all of them and safely locked himself into
hth. He did a good job of refusing flank, I had one unit of horrors that fired once with one model they were out of range the rest of the game, and another one of the squads spent 3 turns running. The daemon prince that wiped out half of the wyches, 20 warriors and the archon would have to be the man of the match.
