Why is it that when you start a new thread, it always posts as having 2 views? I can understand it having one view, I guess, as I have seen it whilst I post it, but where does the second one come from?

Yes, but I tend to look at all posts with two eyes, not just when I start a new thread....

It is because the table in the database has a default of '1' for the view count instead of '0' for new threads. When the first actual view happens, it adds one, giving '2'. It has bugged me for ages but has never bugged me enough to actually fix it as I've always been working on more interesting things

Fair enough. Weird. I guess it counts my original posting as a view then.
