1)Nothing. They live "from the land" i.e. shoot something to eat
2)Nothing of interest. Threaten someone to be shot i.e. plunder for food
3)usual

. So they choose option 1 or 2 instead
4)lucky regiment with a rich sponsor (personal guard?). Have their own cook.
5) come from an feral world/death world. Are fine with any type of food

Well I guessed It would be like a WW1 ration packet ,they got:Shaving kit,crackers,spam(some or other canned meat),socks and so on I can't rember it all.

In the IG books they show them eating like vitamin enriched gruel or something very similar. But the catachans will hunt don stuff and eat it.

seriously have you every read or heard of a guardsman eating or sleeping??... thought not.

if they did then a paste with all the needed things , carbs, protein, vitamins...

Which is why their rations are sometimes called 'Soylens Viridians'....or something like that. Now, if you know Soylent Green, you know what that implies.

they just get protein bars and gruel and chemically created stuff that provides nutrition and nothing else, tinned fruit and meat etc I think plus whatever they can get off the land

They wouldnt eat other guardsman, who cost to much to fatten them up, im guessing some weird bar or some kind of drink.

Well, in my time with the Imperial Guard there were basically three types of ration packets:

1. Jaffa Cakes (and nothing but)

2. Soylent Green (Whatever that is?)

3. Lyrics to the Imperial National Anthem that you were forced to sing as soon as you opened it under penalty of death from the nearest Kommisar.

Jaffa Cakes were my favorite and good for trading but the Soylent Green filled the old tummy!
