Today while clipping stuff I almost sliced the tip of my finger off so after raiding the medicine cabinet of plasters I got to thinking, what are the various ways you hurt yourself while gaming and painting?

When I was young (no more than 11) I was cutting something, (possibly a battlecannon for a chimera turret). Well my stanley knife slipped and embeded itself a couple of inches into my leg. Don't know if it hurt, just remember passing out once I told someone. Still got the scar to this day

I dont think Ive ever done myself truly grievous harm, but as we speak my fingers & palms are covered in tonnes of small cuts from my modelling knife, where Ive slipped with it while cutting something small.

the 3 major ones happened as follows...

1) about 2 years ago, i was making terrain with one of my friends, and i slipped with my box cutter and put the blade into my thumb. all the way down to the bone... that bled A LOT.

2)about 4 years ago, i was modeling at my desk. i was cutting something and all of the sudden, my exacto blade was in the base of my thumb (same one as in the previous story) all the way up to the handle. that one bled a lot too, and hurt like hell.

3)about a year ago, i was shaving the imperial eagles off my baneblade and my knife slipped and embedded itself into my index finger (same hand as in the above 2 stories). i apparently cut a nerve as i no longer have feeling in that part of my finger.

those are the major ones, plus about a million small nicks and cuts and whatnot.

on a side note, i almost cut off the tip of my finger with my clippers once (i ended up fine from this, i missed my finger by about a millimeter).
