I'm looking to update my greyknights army and I have too few models.
I'm going for 1500 pts. right now i got around . . .

I don't know how many points i have and i can't remember off the top of my head.
I think i have two five man squads of GK and a squad of GK termies.
I'm thinking dreadnoughts or landraider maybe also a rhino.

SO I'm looking for a good 1500 point GK only army that preferably would be able to hold it's own in battles of between 7-10 people (thats the scale of the batles i usually play. VERY FUN. but not if you're not up to long turns.
Help would be much appreciated

While I don't have the specifics, gray knights is an army that lends itself well to landriader spam. If you have more than one raider (and it sounds like you may not) then field as many as you can. They will generally suck up a huge amount of enemy fire and still deliver their payload. Just watch out for melta weapons and you'll be fine. In larger games like the ones it sounds like you play this has several advantages. The first is that you finish your moves fairly quickly and can then work on helping out your team mates. Second, it means that you can provide an armored advance with some of the toughest vehicles in the game that your team mates can follow up behind. You also end up with the only non-open topped transport that units can assault out of. All of this means that you are very well suited to lead a charge. Just have your other units hang back (or follow up at a distance) and provide cover fire that you direct at anything with a melt gun.

You could buy 2 LR's and 1 LRC and you have 1500 points with what you have.

Brother Captain and 4 termies.
2xTroops
3xArmor 14 Vehicles.

The only problem with this is the lack of troops. Granted the LR will be hard to kill but I think it would be difficult to win an objectives game. instead of a rhino I would say get a squad of Inquisitorial stormtroopers and take a chrimera that should run you around 210 points. (that is if you give the chrimera 2 heavy bolters) You would also have enough room for at least one LR then. Maybe two. Don't have the codex with my atm.

I have my army list up for 2000, 1750, and 1500 however i need to change some things around to take the vindicar assassain. Take a look it might give you some ideas of what to do. Hope it helps.

Put the five man squad of storm troopers in a landraider and you've got a av14 all around scoring unit I generally take a single guard platoon and mount all of them into the LR's and keep the GK's out to shoot and advance on foot.

Yes he did but these are just some suggestions. Stormtroopers give him the option of a cheep troop choice.

Storm Troopers are 30 or 40 bucks and for that price you can get a LR.

Thanks for the suggestions about taking sum guard units but yeah, I only want GK.

Ah ok well then I would go with the LR idea.

My pure GK list at 1500 would be:

Brother-Captain w/psycannon-91
4xGKT's w/psycannon-211

3x8 GK's-675

2xLR's-500

Solid shooting, solid combat, and some good scoring units that can mount up or walk and shoot.
