After painting up and playing my roughly 5000pts SoB army for a while now i decided to start a side project.
After skimming through various Codexes i absolutely fell in love with Thousand Sons, so i decided to make a list before i bought any models (this time ).
The thing is ive never played CSM or met them except for a pair of games against Plague Marines so i could use some help with my list. Ive tried to theme it at the best of my abilities.

So here it goes.

-Daemon Prince: Mark of Tzeentch, Wings, Doombolt, Warptime.

-8x Thousand Sons
-1x Aspiring Sorcerer: Doombolt

-8x Thousand Sons
-1x Aspiring Sorcerer: Doombolt

-2x Obliterators

I have 153pts left to spend, got no idea what to spend it on though.
Anyone have any ideas?

take doombolt off the DP and add either BoC or WoC.
dont give the AS DB, it isnt that great, id recomend warptime plus Meltabombs. and with w/e pts left (should be about 125) id say add another oblit and 1-3 more TS.

Rhinos would probably help out a lot.

Get some rhinos and put wind on your DP. I've been running a Wings, Wind, Warptime, MoT DP for quite a while now and I'm begining to prefer to the norm MoS, LoS, Wings DP. It's a very powerful unit but a bit of a points sink. That is 100 points total leaving you with 50 to play with. Maybe buy up your Tsons squads to 10s for the rhinos max capacity.

153pts? How about 2 more Oblits, or a Vindicator and wings for the DP could work. Personally, I'd switch Doombolt on the Prince for Wind as well.

I think it would be good to put those TS in Rhinos as well, that way they can actually get somewhere quickly.

Thank you for your insights, but the thing is i dont want asseble and paint more vehicles cause its just boring imho.

I did some more skimming of codex yesterday, tried Raptors and both Chosen and Regular CSM but the points just rose above 153 by far :(

I thought about your option Caffran9, with 2 more Obliterators but isn't it abit cheesy with four of them in a 1000pts list.

perhaps it can be viewed that way to run 4 Oblits, though I wouldn't mind playing against it personally. To be honest, I would likely be taking 4 in my 1000pt list (I play lash spam lol). If you don't like that idea, you can run a small unit of terminators to deepstrike. I like to field units of 3 with combi-weapons and have them deepstrike. 3 with 3 combiweapons and a chainfist 120pts. You can easily not take the chainfist, or take a powerfist instead, and give them the MoT to carry the TS theme.
