Hi-yall! (terrible southern accent). I was just reading my childhoods end tpb, and was really hoping to bring some mutant goodness to 40k. I was looking to convert the Characters Dust, X-23, Mercury, and maybe Anole. I can't find any pics, but can describe them to you.

Dust: Looking to convert her to wear a what is called an abaya, and a nibaq for her face. This pretty much means that she is wearing a cloak, and face mask revealing only her eyes. In combat she will function as having a flamer/ heavy flamer for her sand storm powers.

X-23: I wanted to convert her in the pants and tank top deal, not her skirt and bodice from her solo series. I figure she'd have lightning claws in combat, and some sort of auspex to represent her ultra sharp sense, plus always striking first in combat.

Mercury: I decided to convert her the clothes she wore during the Mecury falling arc. In combat she would have (chain/power) sword(s?) to represent her blade arms, and a bolt pistol.

Anole: I figured I'd convert him in the jeans and t-shirt from the dark childe incident thing. His combat would be bolt (pistol/er?), and a power axe/sword/fist.

If I get some figs soon, I pickup some green stuff and use it, but not sure which range I wanna use for the different models.

Comment crit always welcome.

Give them a copy of RT and tell them to think themselves lucky, most of the kit back then you had to make up for yourself ( it had it's good points when it came to scratch building vehicles though, just bloody awful rules !)

What the heck happened to the regular X-Men?

Blue team, gold team, etc...

Marvel is wasting the X-Men name with all these new half assed mutants...

I was really happy when the 'Ultimate' lines of comics came out a few years back...

Have you ever looed into the Heroclix range? I don't know if they have all those characters, but it's worth a look.

40K'ers tend to bash it, but Heroscape would be a pretty good game to run them in. To the game's credit, it does a decent job of protraying super powers and has a Marvel expansion. It has more of a skirmish feel than a tactical one and units tend to be either IC's or squads of 3-5 models.

I did some work translating 40K units from various armies into Heroscape, to allow my son a way to play with my models when he was younger and more inclined to break them accidentally.

There's a great community of players with lots of fan backing online. Check it out.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
