What's the best way to go about adjusting probability in my favor? Before anyone jumps on me for being TFG, I've had a pile of GW dice siting in my bit box and I thought it would be interesting experimenting with fixing dice.

I've taken the GW dice and drilled out the 6 side pips then inked the holes. They roll 6s above average and rarely roll 1s but they wont stand up to close inspection. I think I might have drilled too deep (about half way) since if I straight drop the dice on a 1 they'll stick on it. I've thought about drilling out the 6 side pips on the 5 and 4 side to skew them toward 4s and 5s to weigh the 1 side down more and reduce 2s and 3s.

Next I'll try chipping the 6 edges down to form a convex and/or shaving the 1 side in.

Any other suggestions?

I strictly use the 3" fluffy dice that hang from car rearview mirrors. I've weighted them by installing a 13lb lead sheet on the 1-pip side by drilling through the foam with a diamond bit. I carry a bag of 50 around in a Santa sack over my shoulder, but it gets weighty at 650lbs.

Unfortunately, I fail all of my morale tests.

I flip them over to the one when I'm not using them, so the all luck runs down into the six.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Drill the out the one with an appropriate bit.
Drop a ball bearing of appropriate diameter so that the bearing's edge is level to where the bottom of the original pip.
Sculpt the pip out with green-stuff.
Repaint all the pips to match.
Get ready to have your models broken if those dice ever wobble across the table.

use number printed dice and sign an anti-pip petition

I heard a rumor that the members of a gaming club where caught using loaded dice in the last Seattle GT. I guess people complained about their lucky dice rolls. The judges dropped their dice in a bucket of water and caught them that way. Has anyone heard this or is it just a myth?

Logic; Cant say if your story is true or not, but many ways of fixing dice can be detected by dropping them in water.

I heard that too. Dont know if its a myth or not.

To the OP. Place a die on a paper plate, one side down. Put it in the microwave and turn it on for 30 seconds at a time. Do this a few times and the density of the die will be changed. It works, but there is no question something is wrong with the way it rolls.

Buy cheating dice. I have several d6 that have another 6 instead of a 1. For those pesky morale checks, there is a set that has an additional 1 instead of a 6.

This is the "low effort" route.

Use the "Emperor's New Dice".

They appear as 6 blank sides to normal gamers, but to TFG players the pips are mystically displayed, and always in their favour....

I actually saw a guy rolling a scatter die using this technique.

I've never tried this, but I have been told that it works.

Heat up a pot of water to just about boiling. Take a pair of tongs and hold the side that you want the die to roll up and place the die in the water for about 30 seconds. Then immediately put it in the freezer with the side that you want to roll facing up. Wait over-night. Voala! Loaded dice!

Let me know how well this works!

Any particular reason that you want to load dice?
