Hello all

About to get started on my Eldar Pathfinders and want to give them camo cloaks - anyone know of a good tutorial?

Thanks

Tim

what kind of camo are you looking for? modern military or optical/chameleon camo that looks like the wearer isn't there?

If anyone can find it, a guy did a Guard squad awhile back in AMAZING camo...

Would work well with a colour swap for Rangers/Pathfinders...

Wish I could dig up a link...

Thanks for that.

Looks from that like camo can be applied without much shading/highlighting.

Cheers

search for images on the web for actual camo patterns.
I usually highlight the basecoat (the colour which will be most dominant) then lay on the camo patches, usually without shading them

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I've found that putting blobs of putty on the model or tank and painting around the works really well.

Thanks for the previous help - finally got round to doing something with it!

Here is my WIP pathfinder:

I'm reasonably happy with how the camo came out.

Interested in thoughts though - should I put camo over the helmet, gloves, top etc?

Any other thoughts?

No Id leave the camo to the cloak on those guys anyways. Personally I think you need more camo on the cloak. looking good tho

if you can dig up the old craftworld codex, there are some nice pics of camo on path finders in there. I really like the one with the thin lines.

Cheers guys

Will have another look at it tonight.

Will probably put a wash over the non-camo area to tone it down and separate it from the cloak (thinking blue/black ink wash).

Will have a look tonight at the craftworld camo.
