Hello all,

I used the following list yesterday against a friend's eldar list

I wanted to see if anyone saw any flaws in this list.

The mission was the scenario in which each team has an objective of their own and must try to capture the opponent's objective.

The game was a draw, although I would have won if we had a turn 7.

Biggest challenge in this game was trying to pry his Pathfinders off of his objective...difficult to do when they are receiving a +2 cover save.

Additional Note - It is a must to take the extra armor upgrade for a carnifex when facing dark reapers.

HQ

Warriors x3
-Scything Talons
-Toxin Sacs
-Deathspitter x2

Well its a balanced list...no real flaws so to speak, except for the genestealers perhaps. Im guessing they died fast. But overall its a nice list.

I personally would have taken a couple of Godfexes. Keep the troop cost low and really go to town. In small games people dont generally expect to see really tough units on the table, so 2 sniperfexes with loads of defensive biomorphs would have been difficult to deal with (regenerate, +1 T, +1 W, +1 Sv). Just get them next to the enemy objective and watch them try and move you.

But yeah, thats just me.

is that +1 BS on the Fexes needed, there already TL so on the devourers. Also i agree, plopping down a 7T 5W 2+Sv Regenerating fex can scare the pants off any player, just watch out for high I power weapons.

The Genestealers actually performed pretty decently, they wiped out his squad of howling banshees, fire dragons, and his Autarch. If the game had progressed to the 7th turn they would have made it into HtH with his dire avengers as well.

Scuttlers for them might have been a good idea so that i could have come in behind his rangers and dark reapers and prevented them from doing the damage they ended up doing.

On that note, my carnifexes got chewed up by his dark reapers with their AP 3. So, because I play against dark reapers often and Space Marines that use missile launchers, I think I might spring for the extra armor save.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest! Or, if you can find the points, put them with a broodlord to make them even nastier when they sneak up on him. If you had trouble getting to the objective with everything walking from home base like you had last time, I'd at least give this a try and see if it helps you get to his back line (or the objective, depending) faster.

Otherwise... the list looks really optimized, just the lack of mobility- which this would definitely help with!

@ psf3077 - i'm pretty keen on the enhanced senses, it is a lot nicer to re-roll 4s than 5s.

All 8 shots hitting and 6 or 7 of them wounding b/c of the living ammo rule was pretty nice.

I suppose it isn't necessary to have the Enhanced Senses, but I just like to have it.
