Im going for a Iyandon themed Ghost warriors list (with few models as possible)

It has too many Wraithguard. Take one squad at most, until you hit >2000 points.

Also, Wraithguard are not that survivable unless they have a Farseer casting Fortune to keep them alive. Otherwise, AP3 stuff will cut them up pretty easily, a 5+ isn't that good when you can't re-roll it.

Since you lack so much for firepower, I'd put cannons on two of your WLs for some inexpensive shooting action. I'd drop the 3rd WL for something with firepower -- either a fire prism or some missile launcher warwalkers.

Bikes are a decent choice, but bump them to 6 so you have have 2x cannons. Give the Warlock a spear so the unit can hunt tanks. And give the Warlock a power -- embolden or destructor probably, even conceal would be ok, just don't use enhance. Also, the bikes don't need Spiritseer. The WLs can stay within 12" of the WG, in fact they definitely should plan on that to protect the WG from getting stuck into combat.

Well, Ixe is right, Wraithguard needs to be fortuned.
For this, I'd drop the Avatar for a Farseer with fortune, doom, and stones.
The list lacks fire support. I'd give the Wraithlords anti-tank weapons; at least scatterlasters.

If you swap the guardain jet bikers for roughly 4x10man with shuriken cannons.. have two smaller 6man squad of wraithguard (with conceal perhaps), keep the avatar, get a fortuning farseer.. add maybe a couple of EML's for long ranged anti-tank. Short ranged anti-tank = the guard.

If you want a scoring unit of wriathguard, just have 10 not 2x6. Oor you could always go with 3x3-5 units for the whole MSU things. Thier fearless & whilst those AP3 weaponary will deny an armor save.. you could easily hide each small squad inside a guardain sqaud.

Either way, the avatar makes all those guardaisn (& farseer/warlock) fearless.

Thats 4 monsterous creatures. The entire army is fearless. Obviously you may need a few spirit-seers in there (but only a few not your curret 4)

Adi, please see the list below (amended as per Ixe's ideas - which interestingly enough resembled an old list of mine):

HQ:

Farseer - Spirit Stones, Doom, Fortune

Troops:

Wraithguard - 10 + Spirit Seer - Conceal
Jetbike Squadron - 8 inc JetLock - Singing Spear, Embolden, 2x Shuriken Cannons
Jetbike Squadron - 8 inc JetLock - Singing Spear, Embolden, 2x Shuriken Cannons

Heavy Support:

Wraithlord - EML, Brightlance, 2x Flamers
Wraithlord - EML, Brightlance, 2x Flamers
War Walkers - 3 - Twin EML on each

This works out to exactly 1500 on the dot.

8 EML, 2 Brightlance, 4 Shuriken Cannons and 2 Singing Spears should be enough to deal with any armour issues. 4 Flame throwers and 8 EML blasts should be enough to put a dent in anyones day if you're dealing with hordes. Mob up your units, keep the jetbikes ready for skirmishes, or use them to take strategic points/objectives etc. Enjoy!

Surprised I didnt see this sooner. I just happened to play alot of 1500 on Vassal with this list, since no one wants to play 1850 when I am on. I have played 5 games so far and have yet to lose more than 200 points of stuff.

Fortune the guard, guide whatever is key. Mind war takes care of a lot of threats. Even at 1500 this army has an answer for just about everything.

How do you deal with av13+ at 19"+ and any long ranged mobile armor.

I supose there isnt too much that can annhillate those guard quickly & when they get somwhere.. BOOM. Scary when you think about whats on the field. Pathfinders are awesome. One squad survived an entire tau str5 gunline for a few turns.

Nothing can really kill them fast enough for it to be a worry. Preds with las, I am rerolling a 4+ cover.

EDIT: I know that is presumptuous but It isnt hard to deploy the 20 guard in cover, and move them within cover with running. Or just keep the front 10 in cover, then guard those behind.

Land raiders, tend to get close.

Edit again: I DO fear dark eldar, but thanks to GW they are rare.

With only about 3 Troops are you having a hard time taking objectives?
Seems to me more Troops would be helpful. Or are you not running scenarios and just playing the ole line 'em up and kill 'em?

Interesting, do you play this list on vassal only?

Or in RL? Interested in seeing WG pure lists, and haven't found any good ones.
