My name is john. I'm a return 40k player. I played last in 99-2000 so be gentle I'm a re'virgin lol.
I play space wolves as my primary I can field 5000 or so points of them. My secondary army is tyranids, I can field around 1500 points or so of them.
I used to love Tians so I had epic and lots of it. 4 emperators etc. I just lost all the people I played with so I quit. I kept all my stuff just in case.
I got back in when a friend I play airsoft with told me about apocalypse rules for titans. Thanks alot pat ya jerk .
So I'm on my way to making some titans and trying out the new rules.

Oh Me and one of my friends started building a 40k scale emperator titan in 1999 got the bulk of it done and then he stopped hanging out so It still is in my basement but unfinished. At the time no rules for titans were even thought of so it was more of a playable terrain centerpiece. I'll get some pics of it ASAP. It's friggin big though, like 7 ft tall have to play on the floor big!

Anyway thanks for having me and it's good to be back.

Pics as promised. Now be kind because it's been beat around a basement for almost 10 years and it's been through 2 moves to new houses too. Heck it practically an antique lol. Some of the toe stairs broke off and the back of the plasma destructor also broke off. I have it but I have to put it back together.

Unfinished sensorium dome

Playable foot. I didn't have a marine hand to show scale but a standar space marine will fit into the opening.

Here's the back of the main body. I had planned to light it but this was back when the only way to get led's was to rape a computer.

Plasma destructor

Hellfire cannon was it? Can't remember the name.

Here it is all assembled.

And here's my goofy self to show scale. I'm 5'7, it with the tower in the back when the gun is installed (it isn't in this pic) measures about 7 ft.

Well that's it, Nothing too terribly great especially givin some of the phenomenal work I have seen here so far. Not bad for an early prototype I guess. It's made with mostly styrofoam because it was what I had and I was a poor kid back then.
I just hope I didn't let too many people down who might have been expecting more.

Thanks for looking! Cheers!

Thanks guys! It needs tons of work and I now have to replace some stuff like the cannon barrels but I can use better materials now. I guess I'll start a thread for it and keep updates on it.

Thanks for the Pic.

That is amazing.

However due to its age and need for refurbishment 9and I'm sure your now more proficient modelling skills) have you thought to start from scratch?

As you have the first one as a guide it shouldn't take too long to build a better version to where you are up to now...

Thanks for the compliment!

I haven't thought to start over. It would be daunting because I remember how long this one took me, but as you stated I am now a better modeler with far better skills and a bigger wallet, so I can use better materials.
I'm actually a metal fabricator/race car builder. I work on cars most of the time nowadays. I have tons of spare sheet steel around my shop, I suppose I could rebuild it from steel. It would be heavy but it would be very sturdy. It sounds like it would be difficult to do it in metal but with the tools I have it would be easier than even plastic and still much cheaper in cost. My wallet isn't that much bigger, lol.

GoFenris: I'll check out your waaagh league post.
