After spending time looking at the styrene work of guys like Teek and Insaniac i've come to the conclusion that I know NOTHING about cutting and shaping styrene...

If anyone has some tips on cutting, bending, shaping styrene please post it here.

Particularly cutting circles, 45 deg pipe bends, cutting small shapes etc.

Thanks

for cutting circles, art/craft shops sell circle cutter compasses, just like normal compasses but with a little blade on one end. They're only intended for paper and card, but work fine on thin plasticard too

I'd also recommend getting The Chopper II from NWSL. It's a sort of chopping block for strips that makes scratch building stuff a ton easier. It makes square even cuts quickly, and always to exactly the same length. It can also be used to make 30, 60, and 45 degree cuts. If you've ever tried to make things with streene, and run into issues with getting more than like 2 piece cut to the same length, you're realize what a wonderkin this device is.

Oh this is also good for scratch building. It's about starship models, but really could be used for anything.
