Nice work, love that helmet, and good work on the scrolls. Are you gonna highlight the black to help it pop more?

Very nice thus far, keep it up. Good highlights and details.

Thanks for the feedback.

I plan to add a little more highlighting to it but i'm not a big fan of overdoing it i think it makes them look cartoonish.

Started working on the legs and i'm waiting for the base to come in the mail to start putting it all together.

I'll have some more pics up soon.

Hey - that looks really ace!

Weathering looks good and the crusaders helmet fits it to a 'T'.

Great looking dread and nice base to boot.

The white parts seem to be flat, they could use some additional shadows to get more life to those areas. In addition the gold is lacking highlights, the base color is really rich but lack high reflections.

With some additional work that dread can be a great looking center piece.

Yeah its an extremely addicting side-scrolling beat-em-up with sprinkles of rpg-ness and awesome artwork. So far it's only available for download over x-box live.

looks kinda like this:

For good rich old skool gold you can go to the source: JRN knows it best. Go to Tutorials and painting metallics in there.

The white is more problematic as good clean white is really hard to achieve. I usually go for warm white, where I can work with bone colors. But there are ways to achieve good clean whites also. The best tutorial in that area that I know is the Brushthralls tutorial on painting white.

You got a nice base there keep working on it and practice. It's the only way to learn what suits your style and what pleases your eye.
