Just had a pop-up while skipping through the gallery. I should put some tags on the pic (some stompa concept sketch) because I'm a "trusted user". I mean, I'm flattered and all, but how did I become one and did I get new powers which I can abuse?

I think I read somewhere the other day, that any user with over 100 posts is a "trusted user," and basically the main "privilege" you get for that is being asked to tag images in the gallery.

If I'm wrong though, someone please correct me.

Nope that is correct, users with 100 posts plus (or any DCM user) can perform tag management on any image in the gallery, not just their own.

There will be more features for trusted users in the future, but for now that is all that it enables.

That's all? A 100 posts can be reached rather easily if all you type consists of "LOL i like your tankz" which happens far too often these days.

We can still undo any damage, it just means that people who are more committed to dakka through multiple visits and posts will be more familiar with the way things work, more respectful and more familiar with our terms than new users who just want to look around rather than get bombarded with scary prompts.

If you say so.

It's just that some people really annoy me, but I don't want to use the ignore button because I'm still hoping they might better themselves...
