It's cute stuff. Practically single piece models, but very characterful.

I had a question about the Runt Herder. Having lost my Ork codex long ago (still
trying to fit a replacement into the budget), what are the various options and what
do people tend to recommend he use?

Thanks.

Mostly they just have a grabbn' stick, a slugga and a squighound.

You can give them a cattle prod, but it's not really worth it.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Did those just come out today?

If so, nice. I just went into my FLGS today to find something for a friend who wasn't feeling well (tore the cartilage in his ribs...ouch) and thought that the Gretchin would be a funny get well gift.

I haven't opened the box obviously, but from what I'm seeing there are a good amount of different combinations. All in all very cute. They're so cute I could bite their heads off.

Haha not really.

I had a box too. There's 10 grots, some are single piece casting, but 7 of the ten have seperate heads, and there's about a dozen heads included so that's lots of variety there. One has alternate arms too. The Runtherder has a choice of two heads, a prod or grabba in one hand and a squig or a whip in the other.

11 models for £8. Brilliant value.

Got to laugh at the one with a pair of revolvers! If he fired them both in the same direction he would be blown back ten feet!

Yeah I picked up a box of these last week and began painting them over the weekend. Very characterful indeed, I'd say some of my favorite models of the current stock.

Picked a box up in violation of the 'I already have too much unpainted stuff to work on' rule.
Very nicely done and I am probably one of the few to appreciate the single piece grots included to make work quicker/easier.

I was so interested in them, I actually got them completely built, painted and based in two days (which is very fast for me).
All that's left is to magnetize their bases and spray varnish 'em.

Pleasantly surprised that GW didn't pull a Lucy Van Pelt (Charlie Brown's friend with the football) and jack the price up. They are an exceptional deal at $15.

They're really nicely cast, my only gripe is that most of them aren't very poseable (especially the one-piece ones with heads attached), so there'll be some very samey grot mobs on the games tables. With some minor chopping, weapon swaps will be easy enough for some, but actual pose changes aren't so easy.

I mostly bought mine to use a grot riggers on my vehicles, for which they'll be fine.

And I'd love to see someone use these and Battlewagon cannon and zapp guns to make all-plastic grot artillery
