This is what I currently have for my Daemon army. I am focusing mostly on khorne, however I want to have some ranged attack in there so I added in some units from Tzeentch. What do you guys think about this? I am not 100% sold on the flamers, yea they are fun to use but they cost a ton of points so I dont know. Here is the list:

HQ:

Skulltaker 140

Elites:

6 Flamers of Tzeentch with Bolt of Tzeentch 240

4 Bloodcrushers of Khorne 160

Troops:

10 Bloodletters of Khorne with Instrument of Chaos 165 pts

10 Bloodletters of Khorne with Fury of Khorne 170 pts

10 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch with Bolt of Tzeentch and Chaos Icon 210

1 Soul Grinder of Chaos with Phlegm 160

Total Army 1245

looks like it could work. But you might want to put skulltaker on either a juggernaut or a chariot. It makes him much better. Dropping the bolt of tzeench of of the flamers will pay for it.

At that points level I would drop the bolt on the flamer unit and split them in to 2 units of 3.

Do as 54 said and upgrade skulltaker.

Instead of putting the instrument and fury on the bloodletters put both on your bloodcrushers. With the new wound allocation rules it will make them a bit more survivable.

Are the horrors there for anti-infantry or anti-tank work? If you need anti-tank I would suggest looking at a tzeentch hearld on a chariot or at the very least split the 10 man squad into 2 5 man squads, drop the icon, and give both of them bolts.

If they are anti-horde leave em as a 10 man unit but I would ditch the bolt and icon. If nothing else you could make one of the flamers a 4 man squad, or get upgrades for the bloodletters.

I'd make some small changes. One, as everyone has said, skulltaker needs a juggernaut, and dropping bolt from the flamers is the best way to do that. Next, as was mentioned, stripping instrument and fury off of the bloodletters and giving them to the bloodcrushers is a much better allocation of points.

Splitting the flamers into two squads of 3 is also a good idea. You can risk DSing a 3-flamer squad ridiculously close to the enemy (if the payoff is worth it)

I would also suggest moving the icon from the horrors into the bloodletters, and combining the bloodletters into a single large squad. You need bodies in a blooodletter squad more than you need anything else, and that's the unit that's going to want to be up close and personal, not your horrors. You can pretty safely deepstrike at a distance from the enemy, but you've got stuff that's going to want to deep strike as close as possible to the enemy lines.

Assuming you go with those changes, that leaves you with 6 total units. The only rule you're going to want to keep in mind is to separate the icons...so you never drop the bloodcrushers/skulltaker and bloodletters together. Aside from that, you're pretty flexible.
