Hi! I am finally getting into Warhammer 40K! Whoohooo! I've been interested since Jr. High, almost 20 years ago, when a buddy brought home an Epic Space Marine box. We played for a while but then got into high school and girls and sports became more important. During college (after I got married, when girls and sports became less important) money was an issue. I bought the intro box within just a few months of getting my first real job but didn't meet anyone that was interested in playing and never worked up the gumption to actually just go in and play at the LGS.
We moved and I bought the next intro box, Battle for Macragge but, again, never found anyone to play with. Another move, this time to San Antonio and another intro box purchase, Assault on Black Reach. Then I find out a LGS is having an escalation league and I figure, "What better way to get involved?" So, here I am, trying to build an army (go Space Marines!) and figure out how to play. I will also be working on the whole painting thing at the same time.
