OKay, so I've beaten Re4 for like the.... fourth time I wanna say, and am almost done with it a fifth time. I recently got super paper mario, wii music, and web of shadows forthe wii, but really don't know of any games good for the wii. Help?

Forever alone

Resident Evil: Umbrella chronicles. It's one of those rail shooters that you see in arcades, like Time Crisis. It's really fun to play with the Zapper. You get to learn some cool fluff about the backstory too; like how Ada survived in RE2, what Wesker was doing, and it pretty much re-makes a bonus level from RE2, 4th survivor, where you play as HUNK, an Umbrella commando.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

You bought...Wii music?

*cough*

Anyway, there are some good Wii games, but almost all of them are first party. Examples:

Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart Wii
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime: Corruption

There are a few good third-party titles, and Cheese Elemental definetly named one of them (Umbrella Chronicles is perhaps the most fun lightgun shooter I've ever played, though it is a bit difficult).

Though it's really too bad I can't think of any.

Pain is an illusion of the senses, Despair an illusion of the mind.

What Chrysaor 686 said is about right. Smah Bros., Zelda, Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 are basically all must-buy titles, but unfortunatly that's pretty much where it ends.

- I heard terrible things about Wii Music and I don't care about it anyway.
- Wii Fit is fun for a while but it gets boring pretty fast. I wouldn't buy it if you're not really into Skateboard or Snowboard games, becasue those 2 are the only ones that make good use out of it.
- The Raving Rabbids series is...okay, but nothing beats Brawl if you want to play with friends.
- Umbrella Chronicles can be a lot of fun, but you get the most out of it if you know the "old" Resident Evil games. You know, before Leon became Mr. Ultra Bad-A** and they shifted the focus away from Zombies to crazy villagers.
- If you like Light-Gun shooters you might wanna buy the Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training.
- STAY AWAY from the Sonic games.

And that's pretty much about it. I wish there were more but the Wii just hasn't got any good exclusives left and most of the 3rd party stuff is either medicore or just plain bad.

I would like to tell you about games you could look forward to in 2009, but.....there aren't any. ing casual games.

Gentlemen, your opinions are shared by many. Including me. Wii Music, though pretty much advertised to be a no-fail type game, fails at everything but that. You only have Yanke Dodidlle Dandy to play from, and the inrto takes forever and is anoyin as hell. I played Umbrella Chronicles, rented it from Bluckbuster, pretty good.

Pretty much I own the only good games that have been mentioned. Though for Super Mario Galaxy, the ending was terrible.

Rock band 2 is awesome for the wii, and I know its old, but socom combined assault is fun and cheap if you like tatical team based shooters

Define "terrible". The level designe of the last stage is fantastic in my opinion, but the Boss fight was a bit dissapointing. The cutscene in the end, was of course nothing special. It's still a Mario game.

The problem with most 3rd party games for Wii is, that they just include Wii-mote waggling just for the heck of it. I played Marvel: Ultimate Alliance of Wii and wished I had a real controller for this game.

But since you already have a Wii, I would check out the Virtual Console stuff. There's a bunch of really great stuff.

By terrible I mean they have you spend many hours building up to what you expect to be a great finish, and give the most anti-climactic end this side of halo 2.
Other wise it was great. Metriod Prime puzzles are hard for a run and gunner like me.

But the music during the final fight was the most climatic thing I have ever heard in a Mario game. Hell, it was more climatic than most music in Zelda Bossfights

True the music was good, but still, it sadly followed in the steps of halo 2. I also started Zelda over again. Damn water temple.

Get No More Heroes.

Then wait for NMH2 to come out.

And wait for Madworld. It's by Clover. The guys who did Godhand. Yeah, Godhand.

I rented No More Heroes, it was actually pretty good. Now I'm in the market for something for my Ps2. Yeah, that's right. I don't own any next gen consoles. I figure I'll save up my money for the next two years till they come out with the Xbox 3, or the Ps4. Speciffically I'm looking for some rpgs, but that a fps kind of person can get easily. Don't suggest Final Fantasy X, already own it.

I wouldn't suggest FFX, it was okay, but not as good as 7 or 8. If you live with the concept, Kingdom Hearts is actually a pretty nice game.

Also, no RPG, but for me the personal highlight of the PS2 era are the Jak series and the Sly Racoon games.

DAMN! I own the jak and sly games, and Kingdom Hearts! I'm stuck at hollow bastion, and I can't find where to get to Riku after you take out Malificent. Figure I'll just start it over gain. Maybe I'll beat Mgs 3 again. Gotta love it.

La Pucelle Tactics has had good reviews. It's a tactical RPG.

Final Fantasy XII should be worth a look.

If you liked Kingdom Hearts, look out for Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 2.

You might also consider Tomb Raider Legend, Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider Underworld.

Is Underworld out for PS2???

Anyway, I'm not sure how I can help you with KH Scout. Just look online for guide before you leave a game unfinished so close before the end.

If you liked the Jak trilogie, Ratchet and Clank is the next best thing. I heard bad things about Size Matters though, it was only a PSP port.

I HAVE RATCHET AND CLANK TOO! Damn, is it coicdence that I own most of the good games for ps2? probally not. Size Matters was ported to the ps2 actually, after it didn't do so well. I'm thinking of renting Hitmen: Blood Money after i played the demo at my buddies. If i could only findit, because I can't justify spending the seventy bucks that's being charged for the three pack at my Gamestop.

Wow, I should've expected that.

@Scout: Okay, let's see, there are a lot of good PS2 games out there, you just have to find them. As I gathered from another Thread you already played God of War. Devil May Cry 3 is pretty awesome, and since it's a prequel you don't need to play the other 2 games before that. DMC 2 sucks anyway, and there's nothing in DMC 1 that part 3 doesn't do better.

I'm not that much into shooters, but I really enjoyed Time Splitters 3. It's nothing spectacualr, just loud dumb fun

Beyond Good and Evil is really good, you should try to find that one if you enjoy a good Action-Adventure.

You might also wanna try to get Eye Toy 1 or 2. It's a better party game then 90% of all Wii games out there

This is probably a somewhat stupid statement, but if you don't own Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, go pick it up. More gameplay value than anything else on the PS2. Been playing it since it came out in 2005, and I still manage to find content I still haven't run into. It even manages to do some things better than Grand Theft Auto IV, such as character and car customization. That, and it retains the humor of the Grand Theft Auto series much better that IV did.

There's a Metal Gear Compilation out that's essential if you haven't played the first Metal Gear Solid. Comes with Metal Gear Solid one, two and three and I've seen it for 30 bucks.

Okami is a very nice addition to any PS2 library. It's also on the Wii, but not executed nearly as well. Definetly worth buying if you can find it.

If you're into racing games, I will definetly recommend Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. More customizable cars than any other racing series, and it's fairly freeform, which is nice. I'm not even a racing game fan, and I love it. Worth your money.

Have you played Viewtiful Joe? If not, it's an absolute classic that cannot be passed up. It makes very interesting use of your ability to speed up and slow down time, both in puzzles and in fighting enemies. As a bonus, the PS2 version has Dante from Devil May Cry as a special character.

Tekken 5 is one of the few fighting games that has a ton of replay value, even if you aren't much of a fighting game fan. Customizable characters and a ranking system in arcade mode just keep you motivated to keep playing. If you're a big fighting game fan, the special edition comes with an arcade-style controller, and you can find it for thirty bucks brand new. On that note, I definetly recommend Soul Calibur III to anyone, fighting game fan or not. The character customization is bar-none for a PS2 game (not to mention that making your own character in a fighting game is an awesome addition), and not only does it have the classic challenges of the Soul Calibur series, it also has a Strategy-Game-Lite mode, in which you fight battles with the Soul Calibur engine and unlock new costume pieces and extra slots for you created characters. More than worth your money.

Odin Sphere is a very unique side-scrolling action game/RPG that's at least worth taking a look at for the brilliant hand-drawn sprites, music (written by Hitoshi Sakimoto, the composer behind Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII, and Vagrant Story), and extremely unique mechanics.

If you're looking for a great RPG series, look no further than Suikoden. Extreme amounts of content (with hundreds of characters available for recruitment and the ability to build your own castle) and an awesome combat system assure that Suikoden III-V should not go untouched by any RPG fanatic. I recommend III for the three branching storylines (Four got a little strange with it's focus on naval combat), but all in all, you really can't go wrong here.

Also, Shin Megami Tensei is one of the few RPG series still being pumped out for the PS2, so at least you can play it with the hope that you'll be able to see a new one. If you're a fan of Anime-inspired JRPGs, give it a rental.

The original Disgaea is a very unorthodox Turn-based strategy game, with very quirky humor, an unlimited leveling system (you will see enemies with their level in the thousands), and tons of content. Even if you can now find it on the PSP in an expanded version, it's basically the best Turn-Based Strategy you're going to find on the PS2, short of...

Front Mission 4. A very brilliant game, especially if you've been following the series. Nice, unique mechanics for the old, stale genre of turn-based Strategy, with a very compelling storyline (with a game from Square Enix, what else can you expect?).

Silent Hill 2-4. I can't believe I saved these till this far into the list (as Silent Hill is by far my favorite series), but I guess I assume that everyone has at least played them. The most disturbing video game series, bar none. If you're not into that kind of thing, stay far, far away. However, if you are (even a little), I'll suggest Silent Hill 4 for a newcomer, as it's the least dated out of them. It introduced a lot of mechanics that made purists (including me, at first) cry fowl, but they really don't make the game any worse. Just different. All in all, a very brilliant game. The Silent Hill series is known for having a storyline deeper than anything you would find in a book or movie, so even if you don't like Horror, it might be worth checking out just for that. ...I could seriously go on all day about Silent Hill, so I'm gonna try and stop here. Just know that you shouldn't pick up the third one until after you've beaten the first.

Bully is another very great game from Rockstar, on top of San Andreas and Midnight Club. A lot more open-ended than you would expect, with very noticeable effects from the actions you take. One of the last great games to be released while PS2 was still king of consoles.

If I haven't yet exhausted your wallet with my list of PS2 classics, or simply failed to peak your interest, get back to me.

Suikoden as Crysaor said is always worth a look and i'm a JRPG fanatic, on that note if you can take the storyline Xenosaga is always worth a look if you can find it,

also Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 2, it has a storyline that is a mad as a big bag of badgers but its a very deep involving action game that is actually quite good, (Blood Omen 2, and Defiance were absolute crap don't bother with them)

Dragon Quest 8 Journey of the Cursed King, another great JRPG, should be easy to pick up it was one of the last release titles for the PS2.

Armored Core is another series that's always worth a look, if you like tinkering with Giant Robots to maximize their destructive capability then its definitely the game for you (other than that its customization potential is IMO a lot better the Soul Caliber 3)

also if you love your Final Fantasy 7 and want another piece of the story, Dirge of Cerberus is worth a look, its a mediocre shooter, but if you like FF7 you will enjoy the story and Advent Children esqe cutscenes no end
