Also, judging from AD-B's Facebook, Master of Mankind (about the Emperor and sounding like it'll include plenty of Custodes) is to be his next Horus Heresy novel (rather than Nightfall - about the Night Lords) - after his first Black Legion book.

According to The Sigillite, The Emperor is kicking butt along with the Custodes and Silent Sisterhood in the Webway War.
There's a nifty scene where there's hammering, the sounds of warfare and like something about to break through the Golden Gates in the depth of the palace. Then Malcador drops the bomb of,
"oh yeah, that... That's the 12th Gate."

Just that the Webway War is just so frikking violent and filled with Chaos nastiness that there's 12 Gates worth of space between them and it still seems like it's just on the other side.

Ah OK, sweet. I love the idea behind the webway: explains the Emperor's unintended absence from the Heresy and things falling apart without him - not that various Primarchs realise this - and how badly Magnus cocked up.

I know how you feel but we must remain strong. Show GW (yes GW, I can't believe this is all BLs doing) we don't want this  . If we are lucky the same story will show up in a better format 6 months from now.

It'll show up as hardcover, then later as tpb, then finally as a comic book adaption. By then GW and BL will decide regular old paperback isn't worth it as it didn't sell we'll enough as the other formats. I actually liked the raven guard stuff so far. Just thought the authors ran out of space to finish some of the stories. I would easily buy this if It wasn't limited triple priced .

Personally, I've not really had a problem with Gav Thorpe's writing style, but do struggle with Jim Swallow and Nick Kyme's...

i enjoy Gav's Dark Angels stuff, his Raven Guard, the Malekith stories, and the Last Chancers...
his Path novels on the other hand, i put down Path of the Seer halfway through, and haven't bothered going back yet...
who knows when i will bother with Path of the Outcast...
the first one was good, but the same story from three angles is not really calling me...
i am enjoying the Dark Eldar "Path" books right now...
nice to have Andy Chambers back writing 40K material again...

I do quite like his Raven Guard stories but...
Deliverance Lost just fell apart completely in the last third to the last quarter of the novel. Before then, however, it was pretty good, with a good insight into a loyalist primarch.

I wouldn't: I found the novel wholly disappointing.
Also, apparently AD-B's Black Legion trilogy is looking to become much more than a trilogy, instead becoming his "Gaunts Ghosts"/a long running series.

Personally, I'd imagine such important plot events are decided upon by the entire HH team, rather than an individual author?*
