Have I missed something? Why is the Imperial Guard Sentinel £11.75, whilst the Imperial Guard Cadian Pattern Sentinel and Armageddon Pattern Sentinel £17.60? As far as I can see, the only real difference is a bit of extra armour at the top.

It's all about the ££££ with GW and metal. It makes those sentinels not worth it.

I'd love to see twin linked heavy bolters on sentinels, at least then you'd have some real anti-infantry power...and with the twinlinked you might hit for once!

If you're going after infantry you're better off going mars pattern anyway.

Which bits on the sentinel are metal then? Just the extra armour at the top?

I'm not actually thinking of using it for guard, but an Orky conversion thingy.

Yep, the extra armor, the gun, and little bits like the backpack you hang next to the door and the heat sink above the exhaust. those are metal.
Just to raise the price I suppose. I have one, the gakking thing loves nothing more than to fall over at the slightest disturbance, as the metal is all at the top!

Yeah, to reiterate, don't buy the cadian model, the metal is there only to net more cash. Then, on top of that, they don't even come with the options you need i.e. a lascannon, which must be converted via heavy weapon team.

LoL. My friend noticed that it is cheeper to buy the individual parts of ork battle force. The greentide at recomend price is $60 more then buying 5 boxes of boys and a warboss. Its a love hate thing with GW.

5 boxes of boys is 50 orks, the green tide is 100 orks.

Too bad they don't make "sensible" starter type boxes for all the armies similar to the AoBR and BfM kits, but with only one race so you don't have to choose SM or the "other" army for $40. But this topic has been done to death...
